  1. That's a BS roughing the passer.
  2. So does Edmunds reinjure himself in pre-game warmups or does he make it to game time before getting injured?
  3. Have there been any comments about how long the construction for a project of this magnitude is expected to take once Kevin Warren's shovel is in the ground? Maybe 3 years for construction, assuming all the other planning has been done up front? Possibly longer for something like the Arlington Heights site because of additional infrastructure being required? I can't imagine they are in danger of running into 2033... yet.
  4. You can stop there, because Jed doesn't do that.
  5. You got me. I would be happy about signing Rich Hill, but only because he is older than me.
  6. This is probably fine, but I'm still not thrilled about signing a 39 year old pitcher.
  7. Obviously a huge break for the Bears, but I don't feel good about it at all. It sucks to see stars go down with severe injuries.
  8. That was a nailbiter... Bears win and Sanders under 177.5 yards. I'm still half expecting him to be credited with another yard somehow.
  9. So lucky the other team doesn't have an NFL QB.
  10. Not when the QB scrambles backwards and to the sideline.
  11. 50 yards in the cold! How did he do it???
  12. Wasn't his progress stopped before the throw?
  13. What the hell was that play call? Get the first down.
  14. When has that ever been called?
  15. Great throws on that drive.
  16. I can't believe the Browns punted that. What do they have to lose?
  17. Fire the trainer. How does that happen again?
  18. I'm with you here. In most cases, everything evens out and the only thing that really matters is the total value of the contract. BUT... If there is a case where, for whatever reason, deferred money is what is needed/wanted to get a deal done, that shouldn't be a dealbreaker for the Cubs.
  19. Can we get Leiter instead?
  20. Another thing about the Illinois game, the refs took over and turned it into an absolute slog for the entire second half. It didn't favor any one team in particular, but the number of fouls called was ridiculous and made for a really tough watch.
  21. I'm getting kind of tired of the "he only had 2 offers" story, but yeah he looks like the real deal. There is a long season yet to go, but he is already starting to pop up on mock drafts at the back end of the first round. It is entirely possible he will be one-and-done.
  22. That puts him at 481 career home runs. He will be a really interesting Hall of Fame candidate if he can get to 500.
  23. Which they should, but I suspect the money isn't going to be there to do it after they fill their other needs. Which is crazy to say for a team in a top market to not be willing to spend to keep very productive, reasonably young, homegrown talent.
  24. I get wanting to run the clock, but they used too much there.
