Its really pouring salt in the wounds when your pitcher gets touched up early. Im not a fan of this one much.I'm intrigued by the idea, but the drawbacks may be too large to overcome. If a pitcher gets injured in the first inning, now it's a double-whammy because the team loses both their starting pitcher and DH. They could add a provision to exclude for injuries, but that still doesn't help when a pitcher is getting shelled early in the game. If that team loses their DH, they have also lost some of their ability to potentially score runs and get back into the game, which makes for a less exciting game overall.
