    I was at the Cards game last night. As soon as they brought Izzy in all the fans around me were grumbling and complaining about how dumb Tony LaRussa is. There was a whole row of guys calling for him to be fired right in front of me. As soon as the Indians committed 2 errors in the 9th they forgot all about how poorly the bullpen pitched giving up the game. The sick thing about it is after Izzy ruined Carp's great pitching performance he gets the win. No justice, I tell ya.

    Yeah, but he bashes absolutely EVERYONE, even if it means double-speaking constantly. He's written so many articles where he'll completely counter an argument he made earlier.

    Now when Hendry sees that he'll process the information and get 8 guys that only walk with no power. That's what he did with the speed and "catchaball" guys. With this let us herald the return of Bellhorn!

    Why do you assume he doesn't hate and fear gays? Because he says so? If you use that word as an insult, it probably means you respect gays less on some level. Try and rationalize it, but the mere use of the word as an insult is homophobic. Thank you.

    Let's say he called someone in the media, say Dan Jiggets, a derragatory term for a black man (the same one Rocker used). What would the media's reaction be to this? To me they're all the same. Bigoted hateful words aren't any better than any other. Dispicable.

    Whatever. Mariotti is given free reign to spill his bile not only through the Sun Times but also on Around the Horn. Is swearing about Mariotti any more childish than constantly referring to Dusty as the Rev. Johnnie B. Baker or the litany of childish pet names he's come up with with any variety of sports personalities through the years? Lest we forget, before last year's World Series, Jerry Reinsdorf was one of his favorite targets for ridicule and childish taunts. I mean seriously. There's a saying about people in glass houses. There is no situation in an exchange of words where resorting to hateful bigoted words is necessary. He was absolutely out of line, and I've lost all respect for him.

    I was just listening to Mariotti on the Score earlier, and I actually agreed with everything he had to say about the situation. He's pissed at Ozzie for making such childish insults, mad at the White Sox PR guys for not keeping an eye on Ozzie and knowing when to not let him talk or at least apologize for him, and mad at the Sun-Times for not supporting him in this. Granted he is, in my opinion, the worst writer in the city, he doesn't deserve to be treated like that.

    I just got sick to my stomach listening to Mike North go on about why AJ should be considered the AL MVP. He's not the only one. Mike Murphy of all people has been doing the same. Isn't Murph supposed to be a Cubs fan?

    I've heard dozens of worse words come out of ballplayers mouths in game on TV. Ever see Maddux throw a bad pitch? Listen closely. This is such a non-story it's ridiculous. I don't see how anyone could possibly be offended by this. If you are you probably should be watching "safe" children's programming instead of baseball.

    I just got sick to my stomach listening to Mike North.... You could have stopped right there. hahaha, truth. Unfortunately 1000 doesn't come in nearly as well as 670 down here, so I'm forced to endure his coked* up ramblings. *just an assumption based on his high energy levels and stupid comments.

    Which is why I'm kind of hoping the Cardinals continue to win games without Pujols to prove that you can win with your star player down.

    1) Zito's a FA after this season. We're not contending so there's no reason to trade a bunch of guys for him now. 2) Where's the A and B in your list, cuz I don't know that Brownlie or Sing fit in either category? Obviously this kind of trade would hinge upon an extension for at least another year. No rentals for this horrible team.
