    General consensus is that he's the best pitching prospect to ever come out of Japan. Take that as you will. Personally, I'd throw money at him like there's no tomorrow. Hideki Irabu came with the same description and accolades. I think its a risky proposition. You can't compare Matsuzaka to any other Japanese player. Over there he's like Michael Jordan was here during his prime. The guy is seen as a national hero.

    I wouldn't doubt it. Who wears more gear....Barry or Biggio? Due to the overwhelming helmet on Biggio, I'd say he wins. Seriously, that thing is at least 3 sizes too big with all the extra padding.

    booooROFL. That's the most points we've scored since a game in 2004 I think. And don't worry, that'll probably be the last game we'll win all year. I'm gonna keep believing we'dve stood a better chance had Clint Sellers not gotten injured on the FIRST PLAY OF THE GAME. Oh well, I guess hoping to fare well against a 1A school is a bit much.

    They will show it on WEIU or at least they used to show all the games on there. Wolfe for Northern is really really good. That's what I thought, but it isn't showing up on my digital cable menu... I'll tune in and see.

    Tavarez is starting for the Sox. I think the deal to the Padres is done, but they can't send Kottaras (at least not now) since he's on the 40-man and would never clear waivers. Probably going to be a PTBNL. That's not Julian Tavarez you're talking about, is it? Yes indeed. When's the last time Tavarez made a start?

    I can't wait for the EIU/UofI game. As bas as Illinois is this year and as good as Eastern's supposed to be, it'd be absolutely hilarious if IL's little brother whooped up on them. Go Panthers!

    I think that the Cubs' poor record will only help Zambrano's chances. When you look at his wins relative to the clubs wins, that's pretty impressive.
