  1. you're welcome.
  2. A lot of people will be excited about that Harden / Johnson match-up ?
  3. Dude, everyone went 9 in those days. It's like fishing. You don't fish to catch 6 or 7 when the limit is 9.
  4. You have until Wednesday to set your lineups. I hadn't thought about the reduced starts but 4 would be an appropriate number - comments? Makes sense.
  5. i'll handle that tonight.
  6. Yes, I know, I need to drop someone from my mash unit. I've put almost everyone on my team on the DL at some point this season.
  7. "baseball people" probably = "tony larussa" Right. And Boston scores 6.1 runs at home and 4.4 on the road. It's really amazing that good teams tend to win at home and coincidentally, they actually score more runs at home. There will be conspiracy theories because teams and fans have yet to accept that the Cubs are disciplined at the plate. The Cubs are 1st in runs and 1st in OBP at home; they are 11th in runs and 3rd in OBP on the road. The Cubs cannot hit HR's away from Wrigley Field.
  8. Hmm. I thought Pat Hughes was with the Cubs in 2001 when they had a 5+ game lead before the AS Break ?
  9. Maybe they could spot start Marmol so he can get some extra work in. And then, put him in the outfield for the middle innings and bring him back to the mound to close it out ?
  10. What are you talking about ? He can hit the top of the backstop screen from short right field!
  11. Buddiga is having a good week, but when your opponent gets 130 points from his first four starts, it's tough to beat...
  12. As Dusty once said, "you gotta ride your horse." And, as Joe Morgan once said, "starting pitchers are the most important part of your pitching staff." ...
  13. I like watching Fukudome bat even when he strikes out on a 3-2 pitch. It's like watching Mark Bellhorn with plate coverage...
  14. That just balances Neshek's weak moment last night...
  15. type "cubs" or "cubs score" to 466-45 (googl)...
  16. I think the closest we got to completing the trade was Sheets, Teixiera, and Towles...that, and I had a hard time trading A-Rod in the division...I'm sure most of the Western teams aren't too happy with me right now... Escobar's exempt status and his ability to play 4 positions (2 of which needed serious help) works out nicely. I really like Kershaw and I need pitching, exempt pitching, badly. Lowell is a gamble...
  17. Soriano Fukudome Lee Ramirez Soto DeRosa Pie Theriot/Cedeno
  18. Yep - we're rebuilding and A-Rod was just attacked by a hawk. I had no choice...
  19. Unbelievable! What a start to the season...
