  1. Maybe, probably, I'm just pissed listening to Tigers dipshit announcers plus the Cubs losing two of three. Tigers seem like the type of team that'll have a great regular season but, will go down in the post season because they don't have big bat in the lineup. Sure Skubal will great but, some playoff team will shut them down in non-Skubal games and win the series.
  2. I never expect anything positive to result from a Brujan at bat. Pleasantly surprised when something positive does happen.
  3. Plus an incredible number of obvious bad calls going their way. Should they meet again, and I really hope they do, I like the Cubs chances.
  4. I'll say this when the Tigers see the Cubs in the WS, all the bounces, bad calls aren't going they're way again, this is a one time occurrence, lap it up. At least baseball greatest team, the Cardinals, are down 4 as well.
  5. Another obvious ball called a strike for the Tigers. Why the horsefeathers can't the Cubs take advantage of this joke of strike zone or is Horton incapable of hitting those spots today.
  6. Misses again to Greene plus bad pitch selection, my patience with Horton is beginning to wear a little. Is he going to be type of guy with great stuff but, you can count on multiple mistakes thereby, giving you a chance every time he pitches?
  7. horsefeathers Tiger' announcers I have to endure - "...that's how you get out a jam..." no, that's officiating having a impact on the results. Effective officiating should not have an impact either way.
  8. Happ' hand was definitely in before the tag, I don't think they determine if it was touching the plate. Tigers are solid defensively but they're pulling a lot of horsefeathers out their collective asses this series.
  9. I watched him a few times, sometimes he's like Ben Brown, cruising along, then he'll lose it.
  10. It was the horsefeathers BB to Torres that was key, no reason to pitch him like he's Judge or someone of that ilk. Just go after him.
  11. That's going to fly long term, he's got start missing the middle of the plate.
  12. Missed again over the middle, time and time again, he misses over the middle, guess it's going to take a few more starts for him finally locate.
  13. Think Jed will look for a LHP hitting specialist at the TDL? Is there a world where Turner is kept and better bat vs. LHP is brought to spot Busch at 1B?
  14. Watching the condensed game boy, was the HP umpire off, does anyone have his chart? I'll give him credit for admitting to the Cubs he got some wrong and will get better, nevertheless, the Tigers were the primary benefactors. Cubs did get few later in the game.
  15. Honestly, horsefeathers them both, ultimately, the Cubs are the better team and will win the Central. I'll give you it's annoying as horsefeathers because I don't believe either of those teams are that good, not bad, but, not 10-2 and 22-9 good.
  16. I'm certain Cade was watching talking to Jameson last night. Key is FB location, miss low, miss high, don't miss over the middle of the plate, if Cade hits his spots today he'll dominate. He has yet to consistently hit his spots maybe, today is the day for that to happen.
  17. Typically, being a nice and not holding people accountable doesn't work, in almost any endeavor, most especially sports. You play like you practice, if you goof around and horsefeathers up in practice that's going to carry over into play. We've seen many this times with Bears under Eberflus. You can still be a nice guy before and after practice, before and after the game, hell, you can probably be nice during practice or a game. It's the lack taking responsibility and holding you players accountable, that's the real killer.
  18. Say they make it as a WC and face the Dodgers how confident are you going to feel about trotting out Sonny Gray? Sure, the smoke and mirrors act worked Friday and for Fedde today, it's baseball it sometimes happens. Wouldn't count on it happening again. Think Freeman is going to keep coming up empty with runners on facing Gray? Think Ohtani is going to take another ineffective 1-4? And, by the way, the mighty Cardinals didn't do anything with Yamamoto, not his fault the Dodgers bullpen is doing their impersonation of the Cubs bullpen in April.
  19. If Horton can finally achieve some consistency in his FB location tomorrow the Cubs will win. I firmly believe they'll get to Flaherty for multiple runs, we're over due for a Tucker game.
  20. Buehler and I do not believe he would command a haul, well, at least, he shouldn't command a haul.
  21. Cubs lineup > Tigers lineup, this much is true, biggest difference is Skubal and, to lesser extent, when he returns, Jobe, and Mize. That's a pretty good 1-2-3 going into a playoff series. With Shota returning, if Jed can make a couple of moves and come close to approximating that of Tigers, it puts the Cubs, with their line up, over the top. If I were a Tigers fan I'd be concerned about the line up, true they have that dawg of ace in Skubal but, they don't have that dawg of a bat such as the Cubs have with Tucker. They're a big bat short which is probably easier to fix at TDL than being a pitcher short.
  22. The other day he hit rockets, just got under them a bit, thought a hot streak was in queue. Maybe today against a much, much lesser pitcher.
  23. Cubs will win today, get the game back on the pissbirds (Yamamoto).
  24. Is it odd to feel optimistic after a loss? Here's probably, the best team in baseball right now, with the best pitcher on the planet. To beat the Cubs it required them to play nearly perfect and if not, for some Cubs mistakes, the Tigers may have still lost. I'm optimistic the Cubs are truly a good team and will win the next two games.
