  1. Wiffle. I also forgot Tee Ball, he'd probably K on three swings.
  2. Jacque Jones quite simply the worst all around RF in all of Baseball - Little League, HS, College, Asia, Latin America, MLB, Minor Leagues - did I miss any?
  3. I have 7. I'm going with 8, Pierre with a weak grounder to 3b on the Duke' second pitch.
  4. 2-0 deficit is a 10 run deficit in effect...
  5. That's why we call him Slappy. But really, he has the most amazing ability to make contact without ever hitting the ball hard. It's that Pierre Flair I guess? Neifi' pretty good at the Pierre Flair as well...
  6. Watch it, some Card fan is going to reply that its not so out of the ordinary, that such a thing happens for every team. That Ponson always had the potential to do so and it just so happens he decided to be great the moment he put a Cardinal uniform.
  7. Ponson? What of Arroyo, he of the 4.41 lifetime ERA and W-L of 38-33 pitching like he's Cy Young Superman?
  8. How many hard hit balls have come off the bat of Pierre? I'd say its no more than 10, when was the last time he hit a line drive? Granted, he puts the ball in play a lot more than Patterson ever did but, little infield dribblers are about as effective as a strikeout.
  9. I don't believe so, to the Cubs credit, they seem to have taken a little bit different approach, last two seasons, I have no doubt they would have stuck with Rusch. This season they've already replaced Williams and if Hill does well I believe he'll take Rusch' spot.
  10. Dusty like move pitching to Murton, with a man on deck who couldn't hit a LHP if his life depended on it...
  11. Does Pierre EVER hit the ball hard? or a hit a line drive?
  12. What's this?! Cubs bullpen getting some onem out for the first time in three days?
  13. Thge Cubs load the bases with no outs - don't score, Pirates hit a bunch of cheesey, crap singles and of course, tie the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Pat and Ron dicussing all time x-base hitting and RBI leaders, what no Pujols? I thought he gets 100 x-base hits everytime he rolls out of bed.
  15. The rest of the NL has figured out if given a chance, Santos will pitch him self into trouble, somebody please send the Memo to the Cubs.
  16. I didn't catch Game 4 from the start but, there was quite a bit of dicussion regarding Shaq, after Game 3's poor performance, coming out like gangbusters. Did he? Can we expect plenty of him knocking whomever is guarding him out of the way and dunking in Game 5?
  17. Typical Angelo draft - the "under the radar" projects, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
  18. Team ERA of 5.01 (with three shutouts), BAA of .282, given up 38 HR, allowing 13.8 base runners per 9 innings tells you all you need to know about where the Reds are going to end up.
  19. If the Bulls had a legitimate inside (not Tim Thomas but, someone who the Heat would take seriously) threat they'd be leading the series maybe, even up 3-0.
  20. I agree...
  21. Beyond Pujols and having out their mind offensive seasons the Cardinals bullpen has been the key to success. Their bullpen, as presented constructed, is far weaker than 2004 and 2005 - its going to cost them plenty of games. When you're trotting the likes of Looper, Rincon and Flores out there, you're going to have problems, even if you're the Cardinals.
  22. Sure was...
  23. How do the Reds with perhaps, the worst pitching staff in the NL, have two shutouts already?
