  1. Can't seem to get a pair together in the bleachers for game 5. I can get singles, does anybody know if the bleachers are GA first come first serve in the playoffs. If I got one ticket that said section 337 Row 13 Seat 101, and another ticket elswhere, would I be able to go w/ a friend and sit with that person since it's the bleachers?
  2. I was at the game in the right field stands. Sosa took the homerun lead that game with two dingers. When the fly ball was hit to Brown, I turned to a friend of mine and we congratulated each other on the Cubs winning, when we turned around all we saw were a bunch of Brewers circling the bases, we didn't even see Brown drop the ball. We went from complete elation to utter disbelief.
  3. I now need reassurance that we aren't peaking too soon before the playoffs.
  4. Where is Woody today and why wasn't he in the pen? Did Len or Bob mention it in the broadcast?
  5. Oh dear  Cory Harts future son in law. It's no wonder 7 year olds are getting hit by line drives at Wrigley.
  6. Do you think Pittsburgh would entertain a trade for Nate Mclouth? He'd be a nice LH bat that JH wants for centerfield and he's been raking this year. What would it take to pry him away from Pittsburgh?
  7. Felix should have called him off, that's a little league decision.
  8. I know he has a no trade clause but right now, a Soriano for Lincecum trade would make me very happy.
  9. I think more than likely there are some significant names on the list, however, I highly doubt that it will become public knowledge. To add another conspiracy, I think that Mitchell holding the list of names will use it as leverage over Fehr and the players union to have more stringent drug testing (i.e. blood testing) and more significant penalties for those who get caught. Thus no major names are outed, congress will be appeased, and MLB will come out without too much damage being done.
  10. From the Sun-Times: The night before, Trachsel had a mini-meltdown, shouting obscenities at a small group of reporters who had joined some Cubs watching the Brewers game on a big-screen clubhouse TV. The outburst came just minutes after Piniella held a rare team meeting and told his players to relax and have fun. Trachsel's tirade was shades of 2004, when reliever Kent Mercker -- among others -- became distracted down the stretch and waged war against broadcasters Steve Stone and Chip Caray.
  11. Any specifics as to what caused Trax to have his mini-meltdown towards the media in the clubhouse the other night. Reports I've read on this have been vague, and there's been no indication of what exactly set him off. Bruce, if you reading this, any more specifics on this episode?
  12. Anybody here have the site address for sopcast so I may be able to watch this game?
  13. Listening to Stoney on the Score this morning, he seemed to be implying the same thing, saying he'd like to be on the same workout regimen Soto was on in the offseason. It's hard not to raise your eyebrows a bit when a player equals his career totals in homeruns in one year Is there a minor league expert out there that may know if Soto changed his stroke this year, ala Sandberg, or if his power surge is attributed to weight loss, etc. I love Soto and his current production, but it is difficult not to be skeptical on the means he might have pursued in order to do so.
  14. Kerry Wood is the only Cub to play on both the 1998 and 2003 playoff teams. Trax only played on 98 and Ramirez played on only the 03 team.
