  1. Perhaps, even more shocking than the Bears acquisition of Cutler, is the number of people (including Rick Morrisey - what the hell has he been sniffing?) calling the Score saying it was a bad trade for the Bears. In what universe is that true?!
  2. I was thinking DT or DE in the with the 2nd Round pick, the Bears need someone to get after the QB. Cutler may help in that he'll keep the defense off the field but, nevertheless, the Bears have got to consistently pressure the opposing QB.
  3. Wow I'm shocked, didn't think Angelo had the brains or balls to pull off such a move! Some may argue the Bears gave up a lot maybe, but, when you consider Angelo' recent 1st round draft history. The importance of the QB position and the fact, that Cutler' superior to any Bear QB in what, the last decade, at least, I don't think it was a lot.
  4. Seconded and, although, as Jersey pointed out, Angelo has backed off on his season ending QB ramble, he still rambled on about the need for an NFL QB. What worries me is it makes way too much sense for the Bears to pursue Cutler, that's why they won't.
  5. Here's to Milton Bradley, there's been quite a bit a talk about what the Cubs have lost in DeRosa but, for me it's simple - Bradley' bat > DeRosa bat' regardless of DeRosa' versatility and leadership.
  6. Even though the chances are slim, I'd like to see both UNC and UConn lose. Sorry to see Pitt lose, I thought they would have a had a better chance against UNC than Villanova.
  7. I was an Illini fan who wanted to see him in orange but, after seeing play I'm glad he's not. He doesn't appear capable of much more than hanging around the perimeter looking for a three. Then there's flopping (I believe that's more a Duke teaching), faces and sounds don't know if I could have put up with that from someone as one dimensional as Scheyer.
  8. Little late in posting but, damn there went on of my FF teams - Memphis - I was really looking forward to a UConn - Memphis match up. Thought it could have been one the best games in this year' tournament. Did anyone get the feeling Purdue never had a chance? Sure they hung in there but, you knew UConn was going to win.
  9. Perhaps, they've been interested all along and now it's public. I can't see why Angelo wasn't all over this, after the season did he not babble on about the need for a QB?
  10. Well yeah, that and we'll have Brandon Paul. I just hope Tisdale can develop a sense of toughness in the offseason. 12-4 to end the first day. It seems like I always end the first day with that record. Clemson's loss hurt me the most as I had them going to the Elite Eight. Me too about Tisdale, he's very soft, getting pushed around by those WKU midgets. A sense of toughness and strength, although a tall order, is all that's keeping him from being a damn good player.
  11. And skip Cubs season? Blasphemy! Yeah I thought of that, wouldn't miss what this season will bring for the world.
  12. Part of me wishes we could fast forward to next season, I really think we're going to see a much better, more athletic Illini team.
  13. Digger, et al, kick them while they're down in the next 4+ years you're not going to have that chance.
  14. Me too, if they showed some hustle and took it to those clowns they would have kicked their ass. And the last 7 or so minutes proves the above point.
  15. Me too, if they showed some hustle and took it to those clowns they would have kicked their ass.
  16. Well, I was wayyyyy wrong about the Illini playing a better second half and winning. Watch Gonzaga actually guard the 3 point shooters and rip WKU by 20. Still it was an unexpectedly good year for the Illini, a stepping stone to bigger and better things. Within a couple of years Weber will have them as a Final Four caliber team.
  17. Is there some rule that states Duke must always play their 1st round and 2nd round games in North Carolina?
  18. I'm dismissing the Illini yet, WKU throws up a lot of poor shots and the Illini have missed several good looks and layups. Tisdale will be a factor in the 2nd half and the Illini will win.
  19. They are playing Robbie Hummel. and the other guys on Purdue. That's conference MVP Robbie Hummel to you, stupid. Conference MVP and future first team NBA All-Everything and that is just his rookie season. Along with curing cancer in his off time.
  20. I had Butler over LSU, came close.
  21. the only upset anyone has in the first round is a team that lost by 30 to murray state beating illinois. I really don't see it happening with WKU's tallest player being 6'9. Mike and Mike should have huge games. well, i'd say that 90% of everyone who has done a bracket has westen kentucky winning, regardless of the fact that they lost to florida international. i don't care a whole lot, but it's annoying seeing everyone who has wku beaming about it like they're some sort of genius because they saw jay bilas pick them. i hope the team reacts to it and runs up the score. chester is a major loss on the defensive end, though. It's about WKU' three point shooting sure, if there on, they'll be in the game and tough to beat but, no one has mentioned how a reliance on three can shoot you out of a game as well. I to am thinking the Illini are going to post up Mike and Mike, the only thing WKU will able to do is push them off the block. Give me Mike and Mike baby hooks and three foot jumpers over three pointers any day.
  22. Why do I have the feeling that the Committee had a pity party for Arizona and was going to find an in for them? Arizona could have been 18-13 or 17-14 and still would have gotten an invite, go to **** Arizona basketball.
  23. Yeah he's a stud. I like him more than Gerald Henderson. i don't like him, i hate him, but i cannot hate a player. he should be in champaign. I'm fairly certain that players of Turner' stature will end up in Champaign in the future. I don't see Ohio State or Purdue, for that matter, coming into Illinois and getting players like Turner again, at least not in the near future. i think that jereme richmond is a better version of turner. I was thinking that could be true as well by the way, did you catch his half court winning shot?
