  1. I'd like to the see Packers completely removed from the equation, I believe the Vikings will handle them Sunday, in fact, quite easily. Rodgers is playing hurt and you can see it, against a pretty ferocious Viking pass rush I'll be surprised if he finishes the game.
  2. Even when Hicks was making tackles for loss, he was dragging guys who had their arms wrapped around him. Time and time again. Hicks was an unstoppable monster last night, and the officials hate calling holding on Bears offensive opponents. Remember one instance where the OL nearly had him around the throat.
  3. Saying some of this on the Score this morning apparently, on both picks, he had open receivers underneath.
  4. It's probably true with most great pass rushers but, Mack gets held quite a bit.
  5. To be fair, Steve Pearce is some kind of October monster that can't be slayed. He's batting .286/.432/.600 in the postseason. Yeah, SSS and all that, but he was really good during the regular season as well. David Freese, seriously, if I'm the Red Sox, should he be in a position to beat them, I'd seriously consider pitching around this clown.
  6. Love the way the Packers lost, that was so John Fox Bears, awesome.
  7. If only for one season, I want a super Cubs team - sign both Machado and Harper - 2019 WS Cubs - Red Sox both having won 100+ games in the regular season games. Imagine the fun we'll have watching the Cubs bury the Brewers, Cardinals and the rest of the NL in 2019, want to say to my grand children - I was there in 1985 when the Bears crushed the NFL, in 1996 when the Bulls smoked the NBA, in 2013 (maybe 2010) when the Blackhawks devoured the NHL and 2019 when Cubs tossed MLB aside.
  8. I found the announcers prospective interesting basically saying Floyd trying to cover a RB was a recipe for disaster which, it was. However, I can remember Collinsworth going nuts, heaping praise on who ever that GB DL was covering Robinson (I believe) in the end zone. The difference? A shitty pass from Mitch. Mitch throws a good pass and GB looks just as horsefeathering stupid.
  9. Agreed nevertheless, very frustrated he missed a TD pass on each int and at least, two more. To look as shitty as he did against a truly awful defense is really annoying.
  10. Smoltz was talking something about 8 guys competiting for 5 spots, making it sound like all 8 are quality.
  11. John Smoltz says a lot of stupid horsefeathers.
  12. At some point you think their bullpen was going to blow up on them, if not in the NLCS then, the WS.
  13. Touching story and all about Kratz doesn't make him good.
  14. Teams that fixate on cheating usually do it too. The whole last month the Brewers have looked like they always knew what was coming. Without a doubt.
  15. not sure if serious, but the point is to give the receiver an opportunity to make a play. the same reason QBs handoff to running backs behind the line of scrimmage despite seemingly wanting them to run beyond it. They usually are designed to be a wr screen, giving the wr the ball as quickly as possible with blockers thinking they can block their way to 5 yards. Then you usually have DB's and maybe an OLB to defend against, no monster DL's. Added to that is a wr or flanker in space is harder to tackle then a rb smashing through a line. If you do it well and do it when you catch a defense off guard it can go for big yards. Every team tries it. You also don't risk a sack. but when it goes bad it looks stupid. Every time. I'm aware of these things, maybe should have phrased differently? I wonder if there's statistics kept on the number of 3rd and shorts (say 4 -5 yards) converted on plays behind the LOS or the chains vs. attempted paases beyond the chains?
  16. Regarding this, I've seen the Bears do it several times, why do teams run some passing plays behind the LOS? In addition the you need 5 on third down but, you'll go a receiver who isn't past the chains.
  17. I wonder if I will be able to get him to write a retraction? I put a comment down but it is waiting to be approved. There are 0 comments to this article so I bet most are not getting approved. Don't know the author' background but, playoff baseball being as fickle as it is, he should have known better than to write such nonsense.
  18. For the most part, got their collective asses kicked in the ALCS.
  19. Anyone else think the clock is going to strike midnight on Miley tonight? I've feeling we'll see the Brewer pen very early today.
  20. buttering us up before taking us to the slaugherhouse no kidding [tweet] [/tweet] His [expletive] is patronizing and insulting, I'd tell him to shove it up his ass.
  21. I looked at the box score, he threw five pitches?
  22. Why not? He'll probably toss 5-6 shutout innings. Dude, get real. CG SHO 10K. Better yet, I hope they do win the World Series, if they do, it'll probably be because of their pen, which is very good. If they win most especially with the likes of Miley, Chacin , giving them 4 + good innings. They'll have to bring them back next season (haven't looked at their collective contract status some may be back regardless). Upon which Miley, et. al. will realize who they are, the 4+ plus innings out of your starter, then, the pen, works in the post season, regular season? Not so much.
  23. Don't believe the Bears will have many problems moving the ball and scoring, maybe the D makes a couple of stops and the Bears win 35-31? Hell, if every Brewer starting is all of sudden Bob Gibson, the Bears can beat the Pats.
