how good is GB's Dline anticipated to be? Was last night a harbinger of our Olines season ahead, or GB's Dline? They definitely sunk a lot of resources into improving it. This is an improved Packers D, and assuming Rodgers was also just dealing from the rust of no preseason as well, this Packers team will compete for the division crown again. It's improved however, there were plenty of openings to be exploited, average to good QB play would have put way more than 3 points on the scoreboard.

My hot, maybe not so hot, take is this draft pretty much sucks. It’s a bunch of role players/2nd-4th best players on a championship team at best (even Zion and Morant) and the media/narrative around it is trying to push guys to be things they likely aren’t at the NBA level because there always needs to be a GUY or GUYS taken high. Agreed. There's a bunch of "someone's eventually gonna have to pay a max contract to a guy who's not REALLY a max contract guy" guys in this one. That about sums it up, if the Bulls end up 4, 5, 6 or 7 they're left with a Hunter, Garland, Culver or Reddish, etc. none of them anything special.

Expect the worse, hope for the best. Regarding impact, potential game changing players, does this draft boil down to 2 players? Maybe, for those not so convinced of Williamson' potential, even 1 player?

Guess TT' defense was a big factor along with an off shooting night. Texas Tech is playing great basketball for about the last 6 weeks. Well they've been good all year but are on another level lately. Barttorvik.com shows that they have played like the 2nd best team in basketball since mid-February (michigan was 1 whoops). They were the one team I was really worried about in their bracket. I think their defensive system of keeping the middle clear was a horrible matchup for Michigan and they played right into their hands. It doesn't help that they had a horrific shooting night even when they got open looks and that the defense didn't play up to par in the 2nd half. Michigan with the right matchups could have won the title but I think most Michigan fans had concern that a game like this was going to pop up at the wrong time. The offense has been average (relative to other top 10 teams) but has had long periods in games where they've struggled to score. They had one of those games at the wrong time against the best or 2nd best defense in college basketball. Michigan should return everyone relevant from this year's team save probably Charles Matthews and will be adding a top 50 SF to replace him that can shoot probably better than everyone on the current team and create his own offense. Barttorvik (using this site again its great), they are projecting Michigan to be the number 1 team in CBB next year. Well, part one of my plan seems to have been completed - quietly sit back, had perhaps, the lamest, weakest off season ever, and get healthy, part two was come out with a vengeance, build an early lead, blow the NL Central away.

Watched the last minute of UCF-Duke, trying to be objective, really did not see the fouls on UCF, Williamson, on the way to the hoop, cleared out with his off arm, Tacko did not commit a foul, Williamson jumped into him. Probably, should have been a no-call, good basket and play on. If anything a foul occurred on the FT rebound put back - Barrett had his hand on the UCF player' back for the whole rebounding sequence and pushed off. So, the officials swallowed their whistles at the wrong time.

I thought they finished ok, honestly the slump probably ensured a second year of Ayo which is the biggest thing we need. Frankie needs to talk to Damonte's mom. He can't play at all. Well, the Illini have regressed to where they were before that spurt in February maybe, worse. Losing that game in Madison took a lot of wind out their sails, Frazier is probably playing hurt, Nichols continues to be the most ineffective effective appearing player ever. One thing I cannot understand is why Underwood is not playing Jones and Griffin, they've shown flashes of being able to contribute. Perhaps, it a practice thing, Underwood just raves and raves about Nichols' and Williams' practices, guess Jones and Griffin aren't the all world practice players they are.

Under wood has to get better at coaching air, there was no excuse for air to foul #34 on his drive to the bucket at the end. Put the game away for them.
