  1. Was thinking the same thing, it's highly improbabable but, wouldn't be horsefeathering amazing? In any case they're playing real well, now appears to only a matter of time before they're contending for the Big 10 regular season championship. It sure looked bleak earlier in the season, never thought a turn around was possible, I was convinced they were not going to win a game in the Big Ten.
  2. They are kind of fun to watch right now. That schedule may have helped them grow up. Really hope Ayo comes back. Me to, there's no reason for him to leave, with the way things appear to be lining up he may be able to play himself into the top 10 for 2020.
  3. Could care less if was a slight to the Bears or not, meant from a numbers prespective, Super Bowl 53 may not qualify as the greatest defensive performance in Super Bowl history.
  4. not seeing the article, is it possibly both teams combined? http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25921740/super-bowl-liii-was-greatest-defensive-performance-history-here-how-patriots-did-rams
  5. Saw an article on ESPN stating this Super Bowl featured the greatest defensive performance in Super Bowl history, really? What about Super Bowl 20? Here's some of what the Bears did to the Patriots - 123 total net yards, 7 yards rushing, sacked 7 times, 6 TO and it wasn't even that close.
  6. Stop with this nonsense and just horsefeathering sign somewhere, mystery team? What the horsefeathers is this, the Dating Game?
  7. I'm certain fans would state their officiating is the worst in the NCAA however, the Big Ten fans may have an argument - Here's the no call And here's a ridiculous "foul" on PSU for Edwards flailing his body at the defender: Not that it matters much but, officiating was just as terrible the other night in Minneapolis, for most of it, the Gophers were allowed to grab, hold, push, shove, clear out with their off hand - Washington was the most blatant example, surprised Underwood did not lose it and get T'ed up.
  8. Is the luxury tax the main deterrent Besides , of course, the financial commitment.
  9. What I stated in no shape or form was defeatist regarding signing Harper, Machado or both, of course, I wanted the Cubs to sign both. It just does not appear to be realistic, sure, I like Theo to say horsefeathers it, sign both, crush the NL, make sawdust of the NL Central and win the WS.
  10. Did we not know weeks ago a Harper signing was financially impossible? Harper or no Harper a healthy Kris Bryany makes all the difference in the world. I also believe the Cubs will get quite a bit more from one of or both of Darvish and Chatwood in '19 than '18.
  11. Sure did, him, Griffin, Ayo, Frazier there's something there when they play with confidence and aggression. While Maryland had the advantage in the front court, I'd say the Illini had the backcourt edge. Took Cowan out the game in the first half and late in the second half, so much better than watching eat up Tejon Lucas. Too bad this effort wasn't there when they lost to a mediocre Wisconsin team the other night. If they return everyone and they get both Cockburn and January on campus, they might actually be a tournament team again next year. I agree. Was thinking about all the transfers last season other than Smith did Underwood encourage the remainder of the transfers? In Finke, Lucas, Ebo and Vassel they lost nothing, maybe Underwood thought bite the bullet get better talent, devote a season to development for a brighter future.
  12. Sure did, him, Griffin, Ayo, Frazier there's something there when they play with confidence and aggression. 13. Illini playing Maryland, down by 4 at the half however, for perhaps, the first time this season against a P5 team, they have a mismatch. Ayo vs. Cowan, he doesn't have a chance, they'll got to exploit in the second half, run Ayo off screens to get Cowan on him. Then clear out and let Ayo take him, they do that a few times and Maryland is going to start to collapse giving up open 3's. I'd like to see Frazier, Griffin and Jones taking those shots.
  14. At one time I think it was mostly Thursday night followed by Saturday afternoon - night that was great.
  15. Mizzou lost to Arkansas the other night, 10-7 overall, 1-4 in conference play, Mark Smith appears to be improving, good for him, Tilmon and Pickett? Meh. Thinking there's a good chance Mizzou doesn't going dancing this year, perhaps, NIT, good. Nothing against Smith, Tilmon or Pickett hope they do well, Clownzo on the other hand? Love things do not look good, his Braggin' Rights post game interview melodrama [expletive], almost near tears, citing hardships, trying to show Illinois up. Think Underwood didn't notice? When time comes he's going to bury that fool.
  16. His decision making is atrocious. Once he gets the ball, no matter where on the court, and who’s around him his mind is set. Read he's having troubles with his confidence, what you mentioned is certainly symptomatic of confidence lacking. He did not play much last night, Underwood has to be frustrasted, be surprised if he plays much more for the remainder of the season. Bold prediction Wisconsin' winning streak vs. the Illini ends next season.
  17. The Illini have the Badgers tonight at home, think this'll be one of their "up" games. Probably will lose a close one late, Happ will do something, etc. Watched the Illini a few times this season, cannot understand why Kipper Nichols remains useless. He's physically imposing, oftentimes, there's nobody on the opposing team who can physically match him. Yet, he makes no impact, could literally force his will on almost any player but, never does, why?
  18. There's no denying Gill' a homer, as mentioned above he probably thinks they'd beat the 2016 Warriors. Michigan is certainly very good, as for the Illini consistency has been a problem, I think we'll see better results for the remainder of the season. Besides Ayo, Giorgi has been pretty impressive, did not expect such mobility, I was thinking he might be more like Maverik Morgan as Freshman. They are looking better, but a lot of that is to be expected with Ayo playing himself, according to ESPN, into the top 20 of the draft. Not sure how great that is though if it just means he leaves and we are back to where we were next year. Sunday' game was proof Ayo shouldn't consider the draft perhaps, not even until he's finished his JR season. I thought they had turned a corner but, Sunday' game is not too surprising for a team this young, up and down.
  19. is there any chance the Rams expose this slow Patriots team and blow them up in the Super Bowl?
  20. they had them 3rd and 10 THREE TIMES on that last drive. they deserve to lose. Definitely, burned by the same play over and over and over, its a timing play, why not try to blow up the WR at the LOS?
  21. Ha. I mean Michigan has only trailed in the 2nd half of like 2 games but ok. They aren't a perfect team and will definitely lose some games in the Big Ten gauntlet but I believe they are right up there with Beilein's best Michigan teams. They have scoring depth, play team defense, have the perfect point guard who runs the offense so well. We will see, the schedule gets a lot tougher starting tomorrow. With regards to Illinois, hasn't their thing this year been staying close in games and then faltering late? I think they are certainly better than their results so far but not sure to what degree There's no denying Gill' a homer, as mentioned above he probably thinks they'd beat the 2016 Warriors. Michigan is certainly very good, as for the Illini consistency has been a problem, I think we'll see better results for the remainder of the season. Besides Ayo, Giorgi has been pretty impressive, did not expect such mobility, I was thinking he might be more like Maverik Morgan as Freshman.
  22. Of course they would!
  23. Maybe seeing some improvement from the Illini? They destroyed Minnesota the other night, prior to that, hung around against Michigan and at Indiana, lost a heartbreaker at Northwestern. Think they'll compete at Iowa, read some postings about an NBA scout being at the Michigan game. Apparently he said give Underwood some time, mentioned they have 3 Big Ten players, two of which are freshmen. Guess Kendell Gill was the game as well, he to said things are going to turn around. Also said he couldn't believe this Michigan team is the number 2 team in the nation, thinks they would have pounded this team had they played.
  24. Some of those throws - wow - there's hope for Mitch yet, I believe the rest of the NFC North is hoping against hope he doesn't become consistent. Think there's a real good chance Mitch and the offense exponentially improve next season, also, if or when possible, the Bears, without question ,will sign Hunt. I do not like it, many here do not like it but, they'll do it, the end all, be all of professional sports is winning.
  25. Not so much Alshon, just glad the Eagles are done, they needed smoke and mirrors to make the playoffs, somehow managed to beat the Bears, a team that was clearly better than the Eagles, on the road. If they managed to make the title game, just don't believe they would have provided much competion for the Rams. Saints - Rams should be good game.
