  1. is there any chance the Rams expose this slow Patriots team and blow them up in the Super Bowl?
  2. they had them 3rd and 10 THREE TIMES on that last drive. they deserve to lose. Definitely, burned by the same play over and over and over, its a timing play, why not try to blow up the WR at the LOS?
  3. Ha. I mean Michigan has only trailed in the 2nd half of like 2 games but ok. They aren't a perfect team and will definitely lose some games in the Big Ten gauntlet but I believe they are right up there with Beilein's best Michigan teams. They have scoring depth, play team defense, have the perfect point guard who runs the offense so well. We will see, the schedule gets a lot tougher starting tomorrow. With regards to Illinois, hasn't their thing this year been staying close in games and then faltering late? I think they are certainly better than their results so far but not sure to what degree There's no denying Gill' a homer, as mentioned above he probably thinks they'd beat the 2016 Warriors. Michigan is certainly very good, as for the Illini consistency has been a problem, I think we'll see better results for the remainder of the season. Besides Ayo, Giorgi has been pretty impressive, did not expect such mobility, I was thinking he might be more like Maverik Morgan as Freshman.
  4. Of course they would!
  5. Maybe seeing some improvement from the Illini? They destroyed Minnesota the other night, prior to that, hung around against Michigan and at Indiana, lost a heartbreaker at Northwestern. Think they'll compete at Iowa, read some postings about an NBA scout being at the Michigan game. Apparently he said give Underwood some time, mentioned they have 3 Big Ten players, two of which are freshmen. Guess Kendell Gill was the game as well, he to said things are going to turn around. Also said he couldn't believe this Michigan team is the number 2 team in the nation, thinks they would have pounded this team had they played.
  6. Some of those throws - wow - there's hope for Mitch yet, I believe the rest of the NFC North is hoping against hope he doesn't become consistent. Think there's a real good chance Mitch and the offense exponentially improve next season, also, if or when possible, the Bears, without question ,will sign Hunt. I do not like it, many here do not like it but, they'll do it, the end all, be all of professional sports is winning.
  7. Not so much Alshon, just glad the Eagles are done, they needed smoke and mirrors to make the playoffs, somehow managed to beat the Bears, a team that was clearly better than the Eagles, on the road. If they managed to make the title game, just don't believe they would have provided much competion for the Rams. Saints - Rams should be good game.
  8. What goes around comes around, heart breaking fashion way to lose Eagles. I've the feeling Philadelphia caught lightning in a bottle with Foles as a result, some team is going to give him an outrageous sum of money. Only to be gravely disappointed.
  9. I only recall one miss against the Bears all season and that seemed like a miracle, it's as if opposing kickers haven't missed in the last 5 years.
  10. Bears have these fart-knockers next year at Philadelphia, just like 1985-86 with the Niners, they're going to Philadelphia and kick the Eagles' asses. Parkey for fun, will hit a upright or two, won't matter as the Bears win by double digits.
  11. 'Bama getting their asses kicked tonight would be really refreshing.
  12. It's bad enough the Bears lost but, what's more annoying is listening to another round of Eagles gypsy magic [expletive]. Believe the Saints are going to be a resounding end to that nonsense.
  13. We may see the D take a slight step back next season, some roster attrition may occur and other factors, etc. however, I strongly believe it'll be more than compensated by the O. The O is going to take a big step forward, Mitch is going to bust out, perhaps, not at the level of Mahomes, but, he'll be greatly improved. It's also not unreasonable to expect one of Floyd, Goldman or Nichols to really blow up next season.
  14. Given this is why I wasn't too worried about the cost of Mack, Pace has done a really good job drafting in the later rounds. It's not unreasonable to expect he'll find a quality player or two in this year' draft.
  15. Wished they were down by 4 instead of having to count on their unreliable kicker, the throw away on 3rd down to stop the clock, Miller was open. I'd say there was excellent chance they score a TD on the last drive, you got to think the Eagles felt pretty good about taking their chances with Parkey.
  16. You could, but I'm guessing timing is pretty important on field goals. Trying to dupe the defense by snapping early seems like a good way to decrease your chances of making the field goal. With someone as terrible as Parkey what difference does it make?
  17. Certainly he pretty much missed a layup of a FG.
  18. Second point is key, all those open looks in the 4th quarter where there in the first half. After thinking about it I think his game plan was to go Conservative much of the game and either you are winning and keep going (like they did against the Rams and 49ers) or you open it up and maybe catch the opponent off guard. The broadcast pointed out how on one of those big plays late they faked a screen pass which they had been doing all game, and the defense bit and let the receiver get space to make a long play. In another, the DB bit on a fake thinking Robinson was running a hook route and instead he studdered and went back up field and caught a deep ball. The DB had seen that look all day and tried to jump it for an INT but ended up burned. That said, the Bears were the better team, the better defense, probably better offense and they were at home. I would have loved to have seen Nagy have more confidence in his offense and just light up a weak secondary from the start. When your special teams is mediocre and your kicker is beyond bad and you are vastly better you don’t want to put yourself in a position to lose like that. Nagy has proven to be a good coach and offensive mind but has had a habit of going super conservative at times (the chiefs playoff game last year, packers game, the rams and 49ers games even though they won). I’d like to see him trust his offense more. I get that they have an amazing defense and he wants to play to that but I think he goes too far sometimes* * - I don’t know anything about football In many ways this was Mitch' rookie season, I believe we'll see more trust from Nagy and improvement from Mitch next season.
  19. Nice, Laphroiag Quarter Cask myself.
  20. Second point is key, all those open looks in the 4th quarter where there in the first half.
  21. He’s a nothing QB doing the bare minimum to win. His team caught his floaters enough to beat the bears because the bears qb did nothing all game. "QB has to play good to win" - Mitch outplayed Foles "Well he's a backup" -Foles is reigning SB MVP "Well, he did bare minimum, because Mitch did nothing" I've internet known you for like 20 years dude. You're smarter than this, and not a meatball. You're changing a bad argument and making it worse every time you comment. Not sure why you've chosen this character when discussing Mitch, especially after excusing every single thing Cutler ever did for 7 years. This is dumbfounding. How did this happen? There were several times he threw it up for grabs and yet completed the pass.
  22. Do think it's a reach to say there's 31 other kickers, well 30 (Janokowski Seatlle kicker) who would have easily made that kick.
  23. Guess the Illini got a commitment from Cockburn, given their recent history, it might be a small miracle if actually signs in April.
  24. Definitely, the Eagles secondary and linebackers suck, if Brees has the time Mitch had, he'll lay 30+ on those clowns next week.
  25. The offense had to move the ball and score. They did not. Special teams was fine, sans Parkey. Defense was fine. Offense was not here. They did nothing and the QB, Mitch Trubisky, takes the bulk of the blame. He was not good. The QB has to be good to win in the playoffs. Mitch was not. Special teams had a 32 yard punt (with 12 yards of rolling), on the go-ahead drive. Defense gave up the game-winning score. Offense didn't play well enough, but had over 350 yards. Trubisky was good. He wasn't great. But if the QB has to be good to win in the playoffs, why did the guy who performed worse get the win? I was golng to say something to that extent as well, Foles wasn't all that good. Threw 2 int. probably should have had at least one more.
