  1. This is what they mean by processing time. He sees St. Brown and if he pulls the trigger right away he's got 6. But he delays for a second and in that time it seems like the CB has recovered to close some of the gap and ultimately he doesn't think its a safe throw because if its underthrown its an INT. At least that's how I see it as a complete amateur film watcher. Beyond a doubt, nearly any other QB would have pulled the trigger, overthinking, lack of confidence, playing scared, fearing a TO, is not going to work. He should know that if he doesn't, he 's as good as gone.
  2. Very, very Trubisky like there either he truly didn't see it or he's playing scared with a lack of confidence. If he wants any shot at all he's got to start attempting those throws, there are receivers open regardless of who they or what they supposedly lack.
  3. Check out a high school football game, that is what the run/pass blocking difference reminds me of. I've never played football however, for those who have, is it not easier to push someone out of the way in order to let someone run by than keep them from getting to someone behind you?
  4. Couldn't agree more on Kmet, hands of stone, gets blown up by smaller players, time to move on. Maybe, when targeting the TE, try to incorporate Griffin more?
  5. I'm not buying the Fields' supporting cast is bad excuse, it's on him. I'll bet we can look at the film and see plenty of open receivers when he took those sacks. I'm not giving up on him however, it could be the same problem we saw with Trubisky i.e., the game' too fast and complicated, it's got to be simplified, only process half the field, etc. I know was evidence of the game being too fast for Trubisky in his practices, don't know if some of the same things have been seen from Fields.
  6. "Slightly crossed over" is a TD That image from barstool is hardly the best look. Finding a better image is fruitless at this point, but it broke the plane The point is that it was called short on the field and replay rules have always been “clear and obvious evidence needed to overturn”. Based on the reviews I saw, I don’t think it’s clear and obvious at all. As said, the real issue was Nagy-ess play call, I do believe this staff is a step up and it was a mistake they'll learn from and we won't see it again.
  7. Bears did their fair share of holding as well I guess. Although GB did get away with the hook around neck on the long pass play.
  8. My friend who is not a Bears fan said the same thing to me. I said I would have signed up for 0-2 over 1-1 if Fields actually looked good in that 0-2 start rather than mostly bad Fields and a 1-1 start. One win in a season the Bears are punting on is pointless. I'm still not ready to completely give up on Fields because I'm a glutton for punishment, but he needs to start improving. THAT SAID, the QB class at the top of the draft looks decent doesn't it? Stroud, Bryce Young, Levis from UK. The easy schedule might hurt our chances of getting a high enough pick to grab one though. I feel like I'm cheating on Fields by even discussing it but obviously if Fields looks like this at the end of the season we're likely breaking up with him anyways. Nor am I ready to give up on Fields however, he must show real development by the end of the season. If he doesn't and the Bears are back to to trying to find a QB in the draft I'd stay away from guys like Stroud and Young they, like Fields was, are surrounded by overwhelming talent. Draft a QB who succeeded without a multitude of first rounds picks around him.
  9. Screw that, I just want to see a Bears QB not play like ass against GB, just horsefeathering once.
  10. It's not all on the line though, don't know what he's looking for when he just stands there with the ball.
  11. Fields has show more than just the occasional big play, he continues to hold on to ball, he's making bad reads, I don't care who his WR are, he's still making horsefeathers reads.
  12. Maybe, Velus Jones, if he ever manages to play, might make a positive impact? No, horsefeathers that, it's the Bears and the dude' never going to play.
  13. Patented Packer clothes line/neck hold on that long completion.
  14. Wasn't even close, quite clear, in fact.
  15. Wasn't even close, quite clear, in fact.
  16. Sure looks as the Fields and the ball broke the plane of the goal line, just ever so barely but, nonetheless he did.
  17. Always love when Collingsworth highlights what a great blocker a guy is when he's holding.
  18. To be fair there's an outrageous amount of GB holding going on out there, don't think there's been a run play were Jenkins hasn't been tugging a Bears jersey.
  19. Fields continues to hold on to the ball far too long. Either throw it away or take off doesn't seem that hard.
  20. I'm just about done with Kmet, he's got to be the weakest TE in football, constantly, getting blown up by DB's half his size. Just the slightest bit a coverage or pressure leads almost always leads to a dropped pass.
  21. Would be awfully nice if Fields gives us anything, something showing the future is his.
  22. I have bad vibes but its most likely a mix of conditioned to expect blowouts against the Packers on prime time and crippling fear that Fields struggles on prime time again. But I'm a pessimist that loves to be proven wrong. Don't want to listen to #1 Rodgers sycophant (and I'm certain he'll find way to make excuses for Favre along the way) Collingsworth while Fields struggles and the Bears get blown out. Come on Justin give us something.
  23. Don't expect the Bears to win but, boy, it would sweet to see Fields light them up. Maybe, something like 42-38 Packers? Just once I want to see a Bears QB not perform like a deer in headlights or throw boneheaded passes that are intercepted by Adrian Amos. Its about time a former Packer, St. Brown, went wild on his former team, certainly would be a refreshing change of script.
  24. Could even have called a play quickly (or called two before the third down play) and if you don't get it, you have 3 timeouts left where you could get the ball back if you get a quick stop. Unlikely you drive down in 40ish seconds for a FG attempt with no timeouts but we've seen crazier things happen. Like you said, just an awful decision. With the time outs in hand, could have run at least, one more play if not, two, to give themselves better field position for the FG.
  25. That sucks, how is it that the Bears are so terrible at WR yet, what Dak had yesterday not a pile of hot horsefeathers?
