    Most definitely it's probably on Eberflus. In general, their short yardage plays are for horsefeathers, either Eberflus and Getsy are trying to, in the words of JT, "trick'em and dick'em" or they really don't know what they're doing. After Getsy is let go, the next guy is will come in and say let's keep throwing the ball to DJ Moore and, it'll be a horsefeathers revelation.

    Still not getting why, at the very least, Getsy remains a Bears coach. Your embattled QB is playing well, finally, looking like a competent passer and you take the ball out of his hands on the most crucial play of the game? How could Fields not be totally enraged? I really hope, should a similar opportunity arise in the future, that Fields will horsefeathers this horsefeathers and takes matters into his own hands. Most especially if it's Getsy again calling for some BS short-yardage play.

    Little, the control is cause for concern, the stuff is there, very nasty. Except for one hitter he made the Braves and Brewers look helpless, with better control he's damn near un-hittable.

    Without question, it's all on him, Eberflus et. al. are gone by black Monday, if not sooner. There's also a very strong case to be made that Poles should follow them. Then, of course, were back to the Bears getting the next GM hire correct, which, for them, is impossible.

    I look upon this Broncos game as a false positive for Fields. If he has good game against the Commanders maybe it's a step forward. While I'm rooting for Fields I keep thinking about his deficiencies - they're not correctable - no matter how Stephen Jackson yells about it and what other so called "experts" say. The Bears didn't create his flaws, granted, they have not found a way to utilize his strengths. Nevertheless, for once in my lifetime I'd like to see the Bears with a real NFL QB and it appears Drake Maye or Caleb Williams might the answer.

    Playoffs - I know its baseball and random, weird things happen but, does anyone believe Arizona, Miami and Milwaukee have any chance at all? Arizona - two good starting pitchers, terrible bullpen, okay lineup, Miami/Milwaukee some decent starting pitching and bullpens, terrible lineups, with such poor lineups I just don't see how they can score enough to win a playoff series. It's going to be LA and ATL or, if the Phillies pull off an upset, PHI and LA in the NLCS. On the whole, the AL wild card teams are a far more competitive teams than the NL wild card teams.

    Taking the ball out Fields hands, this whole trust BS with Getsy, he needs to fired, yeah there's a lack of talent. But, reason number 1 is the coaching, there needs to be a change and it cannot wait until the end of the season. I'd keep Claypool before this coaching staff and, that's saying something, because, Claypool is a waste of a physical specimen.

    Finally, the Bears grew some and did what they should have done after week 1, don't expect St. Brown to make any impact. However, at least, he'll give maximum effort. Watched some encouraging tape on Dexter, he's coming along, he drawing two blockers on nearly every snap he plays. KC had two blockers on him yet, he was able to make some plays. The unfortunate part is it's coming slowly, therefore, everyone is going to write him off as another Poles failure. By the end of season and into 2024 there's a chance he's going to make an impact. I wonder, in comparison is Carter, being doubled as frequently? Many of the highlights looks as if he's one on one, makes sense given the rest of the Eagles D-line.

    The frustrating part of this is if the Cubs could have just managed .500 ball they'd be one of the wild cards. Them instead of a not-so-good team that greatly benefited from luck. They'll never be able to sustain that type of play in the playoffs.

    They might be a tougher opponent than the Cubs would have been, maybe. Their lineup is terrible, no power, low OBP, other than Arraez there's nothing else to fear.

    I see Wisdom as well in the lineup why? I know LHP but, I sincerely doubts he puts the ball in play, rather go with PCA in CF and Bellinger at first.

    Beyond the inability to hit bad pitching the most annoying aspect of this collapse has been the defense. The constant bobbles and errors costing them runs.

    33 - 13 in 1 run games is flat luck, I don't think there's any other explanation. Their last in the NL runs scored, bottom half in HR, OBP and OPS, just flat out luck. They'll get swept by the Brewers.

    Mesmerized by another terrible pitcher, think that clown would be able to make one time through the Braves lineup without giving up at least two runs?
