  1. Better players == better coaching, the play calling is severely limited by this roster of garbage, don't get me wrong, they've made some mistakes. However, I believe the coaching will dramatically improve with a roster of a professional football team.
  2. That's OK this is it for him vs. the Bears, I'm calling it - Packers' dominance of the Bears ends in 2023.
  3. You know that horsefeathering Santos missed XP is going to be a big factor.
  4. Can't they just hit that horsefeathers once? Nail him in the ribs and grab that right hand as well, come on just once.
  5. Illinois lost at home to Purdue. Well aware of that, BS interface call on a Witherspoon pick, Purdue holding on nearly every down, they made some plays. However, they may not have won without the benefit of some inconsistent and bad officiating.
  6. I'm stilled pissed the Big Ten West' best team, the Illini, aren't playing Michigan today. By no means am I thinking the Illini would have won, I do believe they'd have a better showing than this Purdue team. O'Connell going to throw a minimum of two interceptions, there's an excellent chance this game is going to over by halftime.
  7. I'm so torn. I would love nothing more than Fields to singlehandedly beat GB this week, and my fantasy team needs a win in 1 of my money leagues. But the defense couldn't stop this same bad GB offense earlier in the season, and they had Quinn, Roquan, and Jackson then. So, they're going to lose anyway and now I have to actually care if Fields plays. I'm sticking with my earlier position. I think my favorite scenario is that Fields leads the Bears on a late (would be) game-winning drive, only to allow a TD return on the ensuing kickoff. Fields shuts people up by showing he "knows how to win", but we still solidify the draft status. What'll probably happen is Fields will play, he'll play well, Bears will score some points, but Rodgers will have a great game, Packers will win by 25+. Aferwards that horsefeathering [expletive] will laugh and belittle the Bears, kick them when their down, he'll do this because it's his last time he'll have the opportunity to do so.
  8. If that happens, Pace better call Carolina and see how bad they want a QB. Or another team who wants to jump ahead of Lions/Seahawks. They’re more likely to give you a haul. horsefeathers! I'm gonna blame autocorrect on that one. If the Bears end up at #2 and the Lions at #3 and #13 would they be willing to trade up one spot to be assured of either Young or Stroud? That would be ideal for the Bears, take Anderson at #3 and OL or WR at #13. This upcoming draft and free agency have a chance to be a real game changer for the Bears. It's a chance to build the foundation for a playoff contender 2024 and beyond, for the Bears the 2023 offseason is shaping up to be their most important and impactful this century. No pressure Ryan Poles.
  9. I'd never wish injury on any player but in the end I'd rather the Bears simply hurt Rodgers and knocked him out of the game. or season. In my statements above I was referencing a Bears team without Fields at QB, with Fields at QB it wouldn't be so hilarious if the Bears win. They would have won because of something Fields did. My dream scenario - Justin Fields, with a shell of a defense, leads the Bears to a last minute one point win thereby, marking an end to the Packers and Rodgers dominance of the Bears. That is, in a few years we'll all point back to day Fields and Bears pulled off a miraculous win as the starting point of the Bears dominating the NFC North and the Packers.
  10. Do not think it's possible nevertheless, wouldn't it be horsefeathering hilarious if this Bears team managed to beat the Packers? A team with the equivalent of a low D1 defense and a high school caliber offense, might be worse than any playoff loss for Rodgers. Of course, should it come to pass, Rodgers has the built-in I was playing hurt excuse.
  11. I'm OK with this, the Bears are out of the playoffs, believe they know what they have in Mooney, remainder of the season is about seeing what they have or do not have in Jones, Jr., Harry, Claypool and Pringle. Did not mention St. Brown or Pettis because they'll be ex-Bears on Black Monday or shortly thereafter. Hope it's nothing career threatening or something that'll pour into next season.
  12. Definitely number 2. We need help everywhere and the ability to have a top 3 pick when we don't need a QB in a year with high profile top of the draft QBs is an absolute blessing we have to take advantage of. Would be fantastic to get an elite stud like Anderson but seems more valuable to be in a situation where you get an extra mid round pick this year and then get 2 first round picks each of the next 2 years. I dont know if I could see Lovie passing on Anderson and if the Texans did take him #1, I would be all in on #2. You could still get a quality OT or DT at 12-20. But, if Anderson is there, I dont see how you dont take him. From what I've read Anderson may a talent in the mode of an Arnold, I would think the Bears will not pass on him. Most especially if the OL is addressed in FA.
  13. Or a 2 year window of rebuild so he doesn't have to hit on all these picks/FA's, which seems nearly impossible. Someone isn't going to perform even though the college resume is solid or the FA acquisition makes sense. Was thinking about the upcoming offseason, while the Bears appear to have a bounty of resources to drastically change/improve their roster it's not idiot proof. This is the facet I'm concerned about; there's a possibility Poles may still horsefeathers it up. I'm not expecting every highly drafted player or FA signing to work however, I am expecting marked improvement on both sides of the ball along with beating the Packers.
  14. Was kicking around a thought that maybe the Bears could trade 2 with maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder (not sure what the actual value chart would say) for the Lions picks (say they end up at 6 and 11) picking one of Carter, Anderson, Murphy, or whichever top OT you like at 6 then trading down from 11 for a late 1 and recoup that other pick sent to Detroit plus more and grab a WR late 1. Smith-Njigba, I 'm generally not a fan of taking players who missed most of the season due to injury however, I believe he'll be available on Day 2. Would love to see the Bears grab him if he's still on the board.
  15. Him and Trico both, Trico going with some nonsense about Love taking over for an injured Rodgers. Much like Rodgers did for an injured Farve against Dallas.
  16. Hate to say it but he looks good. Yeah, the same kind of good that Mitch used to look like in essentially garbage time. I'll take my chances on GB's run of franchise QB's being over once Rodgers becomes an ex-Packer.
  17. Ha, ha, suck Collingsworth world's biggest Packer fan and #1 Rodgers sycophant.
  18. In all seriousness do the horsefeathering Packers ever get called for holding? Sure as horsefeathers never get called for it vs. the Bears.
  19. Rodgers should have never thrown that ball, Fields throws that and were reading/hearing about he can't process NFL defenses, eyes to slow all that garbage.
  20. I want the Bears to bury the horsefeathers to but, this Bears team isn't capable of stopping a college football team let alone a professional football team. No reason whatsoever to play him in what's going to be a feel good, look better game for the Packers.
  21. They were hitting from outside, it'll be interesting to see if they can handle a faster team, like say, an Illinois, when those perimeter shots are not falling. Guys like Shannon and Melendez will be laying the ball up before Edey makes it past half court. Illinois and Indiana are probably not good match ups for the Boilermakers, Michigan and Wisconsin are better match ups for them. Looking good thus far against Duke.
  22. they also have 2 super bowl wins in the last 23 years True enough, the Bears are in far better position for the future though.
  23. As crappy as it is watching these Bears making flotsam and jetsam QB's like Marriota and White look competent, it could be worse. Could be tanking and be the Rams, at least, the Bears have the facilities to overhaul their roster with a lot of quality players. Rams do not have a 1st rounder until 2024, saw their projected cap space at about 6.85 million, in other words not much to work with.
  24. Maybe it's because they're playing a terrible Bears team, there's nothing all that impressive about the Jets. There's a good chance Vikings put a 30-spot on them next week.
  25. Not that it matters but, that was a massive hold on Sandborn, he was tackled.
