  1. Swanson' recent inability to make routine plays is growing really horsefeathers tiresome.
  2. I'll take average, as we know this would be a significant upgrade for the Bears. Realistically, with average play at QB, this team should put up a shitload of points. I figure anything beyond average is gravy that's how low the bar is for a Bears QB.
  3. It's really getting tiresome to hear all the talking heads on NFL network drone on and on about what a great situation JJ McCarthy is entering. I'm probably being selfish because all I want them to talk about is the Bears draft and, in the end, all their talk is worthless, still, seems like they're spending an awful lot of time talking about JJ McCarthy. For the record, Caleb Williams' situation with the Bears isn't too bad either. Okay, re-wind, delete above was written before I saw this - Who won Day 1 segment - https://www.nfl.com/network/shows/good-morning-football# - he's correct, they won't be Super Bowl contenders, they'll be competent to good, no more QB looking like a deer in headlights waiting to be sacked, no more, they are done being your whipping boy Green Bay, Minnesota and Detroit.
  4. Stanton with a 2B in the top of the 10th Yankees take the lead.
  5. Don't hate it, can never have enough OL, guy's a monster.
  6. Wanted Trice, Van Pran still available, but, I think they'll go DL.
  7. I like Dexter quite a bit, I think he's going to one of those guys that break out and have people saying who the hell is this guy? Where did he come from?
  8. Bears next pick is at 75, think they'll be looking at DL or, possibly, C? Taking a quick glance at PFF remaining top 100, I see names like Georgia C Van Pran, OSU DL Michael Hall Jr., Washington Bralen Trice ranked 43rd and below. Not saying the remaining rounds will go according to PFF rankings just trying to get a rough idea of who may be available at 75.
  9. That whole BS RG3 was spewing is a perfect example, him blaming Fields struggles on just the Bears was complete nonsense.
  10. Love what Poles said when questioned about the Bears bad history at QB, not exact quotes, nevertheless, he said those days are over, got to stop going back all the time. This whole narrative the Bears ruin QB's is such horsefeathers, what they have been guilty of is drafting QB's with un-fixable flaws. I believe Williams is far less flawed than Trubisky and Fields, at the very least, he'll manage to be average. The reason I believe in Williams is Bagent, Bagent has some physical limitations but, processing and speed of the game is not a problem for him. That told me Poles knows what to look for in a QB.
  11. All in all, not bad day for a Chicago sports fan, PCA breaks the seal as the Cubs complete the sweep of the Astros and the Bears have the NFL's best draft.
  12. Touchdown-less first half's or under 200 passing yards are no longer the norm for the Bears, goodbye and good riddance.
  13. Just awesome, all I can say, offense, offense, if Caleb just manages to be average the Bears are going to light up the scoreboard.
  14. On the Score they were going over the chain of events that led to the Bears drafting Caleb Williams #1 tonight. It's almost mind-boggling, it all started with the Texans, on the same drive, converting a 4th and 10 along with a 4th and 20. Then the trade with Carolina, say what you will about Poles. But, if Williams succeeds, Poles trade with Carolina may one day replace the Herschel Walker trade as franchise altering trade.
  15. It's my dream as well, if he's there he'll be a Bear otherwise, Nabers, otherwise, trade down.
  16. I wouldn't put Marmol is that group, when right, Marmol was unhittable. Can't say that Borowski or Alfonseca.
  17. Counsell will keep going with Neris as the closer until he blows a save, maybe, that confidence will be helpful to him.
  18. Of course, Neris is trying for save, I don't like this, hopefully, it turns out well.
  19. I'd look at cutting Cuas or Neris, probably Neris, I don't think he has anything left in the tank.
  20. I really think some serious thought should be given to shipping Canario out for Cassie, the rash of injuries certainly justifies such a move.
  21. I was an a bat off but, finally, PCA put the play in and out of play at the same time!!!! Or, just a fucked up way of saying PCA with a HR!!!
  22. Sanchez comes off the bench and hits a 2-out, 2R-HR for the Brewers, talk about luck, smoke and mirrors.
  23. Another terrible game at the plate for Merivs yesterday, how many chances does he get? Someone mentioned PCA' lack of hitting being a mental block, maybe, there's a little bit of this going on with Mervis as well. Tuesday he swung through a breaking ball that hung over the plate also, in the same at-bat, missed a very hit-able fastball, it's got to frustrating and mentally draining.
