  1. If this does happen it'll be someone young, fast and cheap, probably not a starter on his current team.
  2. Fields has to know its almost midnight on his Bears and perhaps, NFL career, I wonder if we'll see some changes in his play. At the very least he should not take so many sacks, if he doesn't see anything, throw the horsefeathers ball away. Don't just hoppity, hop, hop, holding on to the ball waiting to get sacked and injured/re-injured.
  3. Don't know if he took another snap after that, maybe, if we're lucky, it was his last play as a Bear. Poles cut his losses with Claypool, now it's time to do likewise with VJJ.
  4. Kenny Smith when asked if there's anything for Bulls fans to be excited about answered the Bulls have a lot of assets. That should tell us all we know about this Bulls team.
  5. Holding on to ball too long, the inability to recognize a defense or not trusting what he sees, the Bears didn't coach any of these traits into Fields.
  6. Fields problems will show up where ever he ends up, sure, say, Atlanta may design more plays to his strengths. However, the issues with quick reads, processing are fundamental flaws that are going to keep him from being a good NFL QB.
  7. This means one of Williams, Maye, McCarthy, etc. is the Bears QB and Bagent is the backup.
  8. I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that Justin knows/knew this as well, for whatever reason, cannot execute. It could be, as some have said, a point of confidence, he's over thinking and doesn't trust what he sees, which, I guess, is another way of saying its a lack of confidence.
  9. After seeing some of the tape, he could have absolutely torched the Vikings, that's the frustrating part. I wouldn't be surprised if Goff and the Lions light the blitzing Vikings up.
  10. When you've reached that point it's lost, sports is all about pull the trigger or not, nothing good ever comes of over thinking or hesitancy.
  11. Regarding Fields is it the slowness of his delivery or the lack of mental aptitude? With Fields I've gotten the impression he oftentimes has the mental part correct, we've seen examples where he's looking in the correct direction or appears to know where to go but, the ball doesn't come out.

Me to, I'd really like to see Phillies - Rangers though, far more entertaining match up.
  13. I don't get it either, are things like these harder to see on the line? Because, to most anyone it's very clear there's two un-blocked defenders and it's probably not a good idea to go with the running play right at them.
  14. Not expecting a win, just would like the Bears to not, as they've so often done on Sunday night games, completely crap the bed. It's probably asking too much.
  15. I thought about a scenario in which Poles trades 1OA (Carolina') for an absolute haul, and drafts JJ McCarthy. He'd probably be crucified by the Chicago media and fan base but, what if Bagent continues to play well? Meaning, Bagent is Poles' QB, he found him, the fact that he's playing well perhaps, suggests Poles knows what to look for in a QB? But, given how Poles has generally fucked things up I have a hard time believing he's competent at anything. So, what we saw yesterday may just a blip on the radar, guess we'll see next Sunday. I'm almost certain the Chargers are going to bring all sorts of blitzes testing Bagent' ability to execute hot reads. Also, it sure would be a great story that a kid from a Chicago suburb helps to bring the Bears back to the playoffs and ends the nightmare vs. the Packers.
  16. It's too bad we cannot give Bagent Fields' arm or Fields Bagent' ability to process and get the ball out quick. Quite probably if Bagent had a bigger arm there's a chance he may have been drafted.
  17. They're roasting Getsy on the Score because he told the truth about Fields. He's got a QB who's limited what else is there to say?

Texas loss was vintage September 2023 Cubs, as many have said, you could feel the Altuve HR coming. Don't know why they threw him anything off speed, at very least, I would have come after him with hard stuff, probably away.
  19. I agree, biggest load of BS ever, you cannot coach processing slowness or lack of awareness into someone. All these pundits, and Williams' father spewing this nonsense are jackasses. Although in the case of Williams' father it may be more of a nod towards future negotiations.
  20. Hopefully, the Bears ownership plays no part in the selection of the HC, possibly GM, and its left to Warren. Don't know if I have confidence in Warren to make the correct choices either but, he's not the McCaskeys which is a good place to start.
  21. I think the point is when a QB is fundamentally flawed it's hard to look good as a coach.
  22. NFL being a copycat league means the Raiders are going to run the same blitzes, we'll see if Bagent is able to get the ball out.
  23. I think Poles is more in the Maye camp than Williams, which is a guess on my part. However, I think Poles puts a quite a bit of stock in a position' ideal physical attributes. Such as QB's should be tall with a big arm, I think Maye has the arm strength and is closer to a legit 6-4 than Williams is to 6-1. I've watched both play, I can't help but see some similarities, in that, Williams, much like Fields did, has all day to throw. ND got after him and he didn't beat their blitzes along with throwing some terrible interceptions. Maye has made some good plays and bad plays, he though, doesn't get the amount of time that Williams does and, he's not surrounded by as much talent as Williams either. Yet, he's managed to put up some good numbers.
  24. Williams or Maye having a WR room of Moore and Harrison Jr. sounds pretty enticing, trading down probably removes their shot a Harrison Jr.
  25. Despite being terrible, I'm almost certain Getsy had a game plan to handle blitzes, anyone with a functioning brain cell could figure out Minnesota was going to attempt to pressure Fields. It's on Fields for lack of execution, slow delivery, etc. Although I'm not certain of the results, I'll bet we'll see the ball come out quicker, less QB sacks and pressures with Bagent next game.
