    Which is why I understand the Yankees making outlandish demands, not that I'd want to be the ones to meet them. And I doubt that we will. But when you're the Yankees, at least in their mind, they can lose 100 games this year and effortlessly buy a 100 win team for next. They've got a ton of cash coming off the payroll over the next 2 years- Texeira, Sabbathia, and Beltran after 2016 and A Rod after 2017, all of which I have to imagine they'll go right out and spend it all on the shiniest objects available. So if they do trade an asset such as Betances or Miller, it's going to be for nothing short of a big league ready impact player or a package including multiple top 25 prospects. The Yankees are are run by a couple of guys who aren't their father and want to make as much money as possible. They aren't buying a 100 win team. It's more likely that they will follow the Cub model, than the George Steinbrenner model.

    Hopefully they have the sloppiness out of their system now. Every stupid move Dusty tried lass night succeeded, that won't happen every night. I fully expect Lacky to go into full on dick mode and the Cubs to score some runs. Cubs win 6-3.

    Where do they put Miller? I'm all for redundancy in the bullpen, but I'd rather not pay a premium for it. Then again, Grimm hasn't exactly set the world on fire this year. I don't like giving up hitters for relief pitchers, but whatever, I trust the brain trust.

    I can't really call any game a team wins by 11 as 'ugly' Then you didn't watch.

    They can't play at the top of their game every day, but these last 3 games have been ugly for the Cubs. It's the mark of a great team that they've won the previous 2. Hopefully Maxs gets tired or loses his concentration.

    Ali was a global icon who transcended his sport and was a hero to billions of people who never saw him fight for who he was and what he stood for. No one can touch that and it's not even up for debate. People might wear Jordan shirts or Nikes, but those are fashion statements based on marketing. I don't think many around the world knew who name and he didn't stand for anything but making money. His image is world famous, he is not at a level that approaches Ali.

    Michael Jordan Not even close. Pele is the only athlete I can think of who might have compared to Ali at the top of his fame.
