When I clicked on this thread I thought it was going to be a piece by fangraphs on how many times a closer is used when the game doesn't need closing or a philosophical piece on getting your best pitcher in to put out a fire, but no, it was even better.

No one is going to let him play a position when he's not pitching if he's a starter. I could see a team get creative and use him as fireman (close and late) while using him as a position player. Is he a good defensive player, what position? -

Coming into this series I was sort of worried. I was hoping for a 2-1 series win, but was preparing for 1-2 series loss. I'm at a loss for words. The Cubs are just destroying the Pirates. I mean it's like watching a college hockey team play an NHL team. The Pirates are a very good team. I love it.

It's such a strange and wonderful feeling to be this confident in a win every time a game starts. The Pirates are a good team and have been completely overmatched for tw games in a row.
