  1. Smack yourself in the head. Jake has historically had control problems. It's the reason Baltimore let him go.
  2. horsefeathering horsefeathers god damn it.
  3. I hope like hell they don't trade Eloy.
  4. They and everyone else on the planet except for morans.
  5. I don't think yesterday is a good indication of anything. From my very ameture point of view, at the start of the game he was obviously hyped up. He jumped around a bunch and stabbed at balls, he did not receive the ball well at all. Lackey was obviously not in sync with him. As the game wore on he looked like a different catcher than when the game started. He was receiving well, was much more calm, and he looked very good behind the plate. Overall, I would say he is very quick but not very smooth. I think he will fine.
  6. Who will these nancy boys drill tonight when they get their panties in a wad?
  7. Lackey is having a hard time with Willson.
  8. Reminds me of Bad Lieutenant
  9. I'm assuming they'd go with another pitcher (Edwards, Patton) and shorten the bench until LaStella or Soler comes back. Still have 4 OFs, plus Bryant. Still have 5 IFs, plus Coghlan. Only other hitters on the 40-man who are not injured are Vogelbach and Candelario. #NailedIt Well done, Mr. Trump.
  10. DFA Miggy.
  11. That was the worst Cutch AB I've ever seen.
  12. I HATED his signing. I will never question Theo again. Love the fun he's having.
  13. He really seems like a big time "team first" type of dude that everyone loves as well. It'll be Willson and Miggy as the catchers next year. Then maybe they can put Schwarber as the 3rd guy if he is fully healed. After Montero's contract is up, they'll replace him with another Ross type guy. Is it possible that Caratini comes up as a backup/part time player with Contreras and Schwarber catchine one day out of 5? The Cubs would be the envy of the league at C I would say yes, but the answer is probably no, because catchers develop more slowly. I've seen him play a few times now and he looks pretty polished behind the plate. But what do I know? He may be more likely to be traded than play for the Cubs.
  14. very decent indeed. McLoed knows what he's doing
  15. As long as he can throw a baseball, he's better than Richard so adding him to the 25-man by then should be no problem. yeah, if he doesn't make the 25 he's probably not making any teams 25 man.
  16. Jake is money in the bank.
  17. How the hell did you manage to post this three posts after he chimed in (and two minutes)? What are the odds? Don't know.
  18. Tom/Godzillia has been strangely silent on AA Jr's big league experience.
  19. I'm willing to bet that I may never spell his first name correctly in a post.
