  1. Listening to B&B on the score waiting for an update on Schwarbs. Those two are such dicks to their callers. It's hard to keep listening.
  2. If any team can handle something like this, it is Joe Maddon's team. I think he will mix and match Sczur, Baez, and Soler to mitigate a fair percentage of the offense lost. I'm also holding out hope that it isn't as bad as some here are predicting. I really wish Dex would have begged off on that fly ball.
  3. I'll like him on the baseball field as long as he pitches well for the Cubs. From what I know about him, he's a turd of a human being, but as long as he doesn't go full Zambrano on the diamond I have no problem rooting for him as a Cub.
  4. Sobriety can eat a bag o' dicks. Supposed to say Zobrist, but the feeling is the same.
  5. I can't remember who I used to argue with this about, maybe it was you. But I don't get the LaStella hate. He played in 9 games from April to August (and I think the majority of them were injury riddled). He then played 24 games in Sept/Oct (11 starts to finally get a little rhythm) and hit .311/.360/.489 for an .849 OPS in those 24 games. He was on a tear down the stretch for us. His injuries sucked but he was good when he was healthy. he looks like a rat Don Mattingly disease. His neck is 1/8 too long and his shoulder are 1/8 too narrow.
  6. Between the Coyotes and this, maybe Arizona and pro sports teams shouldn't mix. One of the pro-owner comments was from The Voice of Reason. Has to be the same guy who posted here.
  7. Made me cry this morning.
  8. I saw someone tweet about one of them, one of your standard quick throws to first after a pitch that the Cubs have done so often in recent years. They were both throws to first, one a traditional tag by Rizzo and the second he threw down and they got the guy in a rundown. He also made the play on Hamilton's SB a lot closer than it should have been with a great throw. Man, if Schwarber can be at least passible at catcher the Cubs are going to be historic.
  9. Holy moly, if there was a curse it was a curse of a substandard environment in which to compete. Wow, aside from the computers, those pictures look like they were taken in the 1970s.
  10. We cannot hear or see the game. You are our eyes and ears, man.
  11. horsefeathers yea. I love it.
  12. Yep. I cannot wait for the season to start.
