  1. Eh if there is a sport that is going to have Trump supporters, its baseball. Nascar
  2. That POS was lucky beyond belief that Lindor topped that ball for the deuce. He did exactly what he usually does which is get behind in the count and then throw meat so he doesn't walk the guy. That pitch was right down the pipe and could have easily ended up in the bleachers A worthless piece of dung is Justin Grimm.
  3. Best news we could probably get that starts with "knee surgery in mid August" Grimm will get a chance to show if he's indeed figured anything out and Joe doesn't have to give him a lot of rope. Almost certainly Edwards will stumble again, maybe a couple times - but that's all fine - we can afford it now. 6 weeks from now it's a different story.
  4. Hammel's back - Grimm down. per Hammel's Twitter
  5. I really don't understand how you can't understand what the issue is. It wasn't like he had three beers at a bar and had a DUI. His actions were deplorable and inexcusable. And to top it off, he is not the least bit remorseful. He doesn't think he did anything wrong. I'd like to see the Venn Diagram of people who think steroid usage should be a lifetime ban but "mistakes" like Chapman's should be pushed aside and forgotten. Please explain what you're certain he did -
  6. Really don't understand the inability from some to give this guy a chance to redeem himself through good living and as an aside, playing good baseball. I read through every document filed by the authorities in Florida and it leaves no doubt he was guilty of some wrongdoing in the DV incident - but there was a lot more confusion, contradiction. and recanting surrounding the events then there were facts. He served his punishment - lets save the torches and pitchforks for the next documentation of Chapman tuning up a lady, child, dog or even a cat. Doesn't the guy deserve a chance to turn himself around? Methinks he's in a pretty good atmosphere to help foster some positive life and attitude changes.
  7. Tried to insert a .gif of celebration fireworks but no go - Will have to settle for a - wish you well in your new career at Allstate, Clayton! note and be elated I no longer have to question the sanity of Joe and Theo in keeping this um-bay in MLB.
  8. It's ridiculous to the point of wondering who Clayton has the compromising pictures of .. Theo? Joe ... Jed? The fact that this piece of sewage is still getting into any ball park without having to purchase a ticket is amazing. News Flash - he's not getting any better and currently blows goats.
  9. I heard the Sox got some guy called The Shield or something they might be willing to trade us ..
  10. Joe wants a 2nd lefty in the pen and don't feel like they have a better option available. I'm certain Joe wants a 2nd lefty in the pen - who wouldn't? But Clayton Richards has totally lost whatever virtue he may have possessed. Now he just sucks every single time he's handed the ball. Can't get anything of substance over the plate and then he brings the lollypop so as not to walk ANOTHER batter. He's dead space on the squad and if there's a righty that can get guys out - we need him in the pen. Clayton Richard gets nobody out and bringing him in last night chasing a run almost put the game away if not for some 5 star throws by his defense.
  11. We put another righty on the roster today. Indeed we did. That was for Fowlers slot. I'm suggesting strongly to bring up another - or a lefty if there's any available - and tell Clayton Richards he has to pay like any other attendee to be in the park for a major league ball game.
  12. WTF ... this is ridiculous. This piece of sewage is a far beyond bad or laughable. Circumstantially he didn't account for the L this evening but it wasn't because he didn't suck - again. Richard, C CHC 0 1 7.50 21 0 1 1 12.3 21 14 10 0 6 6 .377 2.17 Bring up another Righty - now
  13. I care ... it points to a farm system that works
  14. The Clayman has become the most predictable hurler in baseball. Don't know if there's another guy in the bigs the does exactly as expected every single time he's called upon. I've turned it into a positive though, given that I'm watching probably 90% of all the innings the team plays this season, I know I can turn the game off and do something more productive as soon as he takes the mound and catch up on things I'm neglecting. A quick glance at the box score in an hour or two will tell me precisely how he let the runs in. He's pretty amazing.
  15. He is a bum on a good day - regular days we get what we got last night. Discuss please
