Wow, so I guess it WAS all about the money, all along, huh Kinzer??

Well, off to Plan B for Jim Hendry. What really irks me here is that I think you can scratch Milton Bradley off the list now too--there's no way the Cubs and Dodgers will do business.

Overpaying for Juan Pierre, anyone??

I'm actually happy about this. Hopefully the Louisiana Lumberjack stays and Ronny starts at short.

Agreed. At $13 per the Dodgers are welcome to him. Of course the downside to all this is that it drastically increases the chance that Hendry will vastly overpay for Pierre...

On the flip-side this could inhance the chances of us getting Lowe and Bradley. They may decide to dump some salary.

Free agent Rafael Furcal has agreed in principle to a three-year contract with the Dodgers that would make him one of the highest paid shortstops ever, a source close to the negotiations said Saturday. The deal would guarantee Furcal, 28, nearly $40 million.

He is expected to take a physical Sunday and a news conference could be held in Dallas on Monday, the first day of baseball's winter meetings.

Pasting entire articles is a no-no on this site. You may want to edit it down to just the pertinent facts.
