How can some players lack common sense?

I wonder if insurance would cover an injury sustained in the wrestling ring? There are certain risks a player should not take during their career, this is definitely one of them.

 

Pierzynski, a longtime pro wrestling fan, was there to present White Sox memorabilia, including numerous team-signed items, to “The Phenomenal” A.J. Styles, Chris Sabin and Sonjay Dutt - three of the top wrestlers of TNA's electrifying, death-defying X-Division, a group of amazingly-talented wrestlers who have no fear, no limit and no boundaries inside the ring. During the presentation, the cocky Simon Diamond and his Diamonds in the Rough entourage of David Young and Elix Skipper interrupted the proceedings. When a brawl broke out, Pierzynski pushed down Young before security broke apart the combatants.

 

Dale Torborg, one of the White Sox’ strength and conditioning coaches and himself a former professional wrestler, also was present, along with pro wrestling Hall of Famer Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Torborg is the son of former major league player/coach/manager Jeff Torborg, now a broadcaster for FOX-TV.

 

The highlights from Pierzynski's TNA Wrestling appearance will air Thursday, December 8, during a one-hour prime-time iMPACT! wrestling show on SPIKE-TV, starting at 10 p.m. ET. Plus, Pierzynski will “manage” Sabin, Dutt and Torborg in a live pay-per-view match on Sunday, December 11, in Orlando, against Diamond, Young and Skipper. Fellow Major League Baseball players are expected to be in attendance to support Pierzynski.

I could believe a legdrop is more devastating than the freakin PEOPLE'S ELBOW!!

 

Ok, so it's a jazzed up elbowdrop. Whoopie doo. These guys get hit in the head with chairs and come back from it but a guy bouncing off the ropes, then coming to a complete stop, then falling down and putting his elbow in your chest is supposed to be a devastating move? And people LOVED it!! I don't care what anyone says, The Rock sucks and I hate him. I was always more of an Austin guy (hense the "316" in my username).

 

And yes, I know that wrestling is scripted. It's not "fake", but it's scripted.
