if the cubs sign furcal long term and keep walker, i have no problem w/ trading cedeno while his stock is high. but if the cubs trade walker, making neifi the 2b, then i've got problems.

If we had both Wilkerson and Bradley, we wouldn't have a legit RF type (in terms of SLG) bat. Of course, we'd be set through most of the lineup with OBP.

Not that I believe this for one second, but I guess that would make Neifi our full time 2B (I'm assuming Walker will be dealt, maybe for Bradley). Maybe the Cubs then decide to hold on to Hairston.

The defense up the middle would be solid, which it sounds like Hendry is after. I think it's a risky lineup though. You're banking that Wilkerson's 2005 won't repeat it's self and that Murton if the real deal. That's the only way you can possibly afford to have Neifi in the lineup. Also, I can still see Baker slotting Neifi/Hairston in the #2 spot in the order and sliding Bradley somewhere else. That would anger me like none other. Ideally, it would be great if the Cubs could acquire Bradley and Wilkerson without trading Walker, but I just don't see it happening.
