Jesus, I can barely afford to go to games anymore....

Not like I'd wanna shell out 50 some odd dollars for a seat for the squad they're putting together at this point, though..

For season ticket holders: How do you find time to go to all the games? Or do you just sell off the tickets you can't use?

I have the Part-Time plan -- all weekend, night and holiday games, so I never have a conflict with work, and I live a couple miles from the ballpark. I've sold 15-20 games a season to family and friends the past couple years, but that's more because of how hard it's been to get tickets than a desire not to go on my part.

You guys are missing the point, the Cubs had an incredibly disapointing year in which they underachieved. They are adding nearly 2,000 seats for the first time in decades, and they Still are raising prices.

I am a season ticket holder. Hence, my screen name. But I am not renewing the tickets this year if they don't make some MAJOR noise this offseason.

Good. It's time I moved up in line.

Really? I figured since it was Memorial day weekend it'd be prime dates. Oh well, that's what i get for doing problem-solving at 2 AM

I can barley read let along do math how much extra cash does this make the Cubs assuming all the tickets are sold and the new seats?

All these people who are soo excited to move up on the list - I offer you this:

The only reason there is a list is beause people buy into the hysteria that Cubs tickets are hard to get. This perception is something that the Cubs themselves have created. Fans think that there is such a huge demand and that the well runs dry the first day tickets go on sale. In reality, the Cubs cut off ticket sales early and hold onto many tickets saying that the tickets "are no longer available".

People think that they need to buy up as many tickets as they can get in February so that they don't get shut out. This just plays right into the hands of the Tribsters.

With the thousands of tickets that the Cubs have left over that for some reason are not for sale, they send the tickets out the back door to their very own brokering office asking ridiculous prices for each, knowing that some idiot or tourist will actually buy them. Occasionally, the brokering side will send some of the inventory back. For instance, on days when they can't get rid of them.

It seems pretty strange to me how once the Cubs were eliminated last September, you could suddenly buy gobs of bleacher tickets from Cubs.com. Or when the weather called for thunderstorms, you could log on and there would coincidently be tickets available. Go figure.

Well, I am not following for it anymore. I couldn't give my tickets away last September, never less sell them for face value. I will have absolutely NO trouble walking up to Wrigley 10 minutes before game time and getting into the ballpark for face value or under.

Lastly, the Cubs understand the value of having a waiting list. They know that the act of waiting on the list for a year or more makes people act out of impulse when their name gets called.

Sell your tickets in the spring or don't sell them at all.

Would you be interested in selling your rights? What row are your seats in?
