If only the Bulls had Tim Thomas, they'd be up 3-0.

Bulls played great tonight. They attacked the hoop more than I've seen them attack it at any point during the season. That'll be the key for the rest of the series...if we can continue to attack the hoop, we'll get Shaq in foul trouble and perhaps the other bigs in foul trouble. Very nice win tonight.

I liked how we really got the Heat frustrated as well :D Going to be nice to see Posey out of Game 4.

Wake THEM up? It woke up the UC, I'll tell you that much. Posey's free safety bull**** on Hinrich is the dirtiest play I can remember seeing in the NBA and he'll definitely be gone for Game 4 giving Miami one less shooter. I see the Bulls winning Game 4 and putting the pressure on Miami going back to South Beach.

Yep.. then if they pull out a win in Game 5, the pressure is on Miami... they'll have to win it here.

I was at the game. It was AWESOME. We were also the first people in the stadium to see Jordan... He was about 50 feet from us, we saw his son sitting in the suite in the pre-game warmups.

That's awesome. Was there a lot of empty seats tonight? I know sometimes they say sellout but in reality there's some empty seats. Man I wish I was home so I could go to one of these games. Stupid school.

I feel you. I bought tickets to Game 6 under the assumption that finals would be over by then, but the NBA decided for the first time in about a billion years not to put three or four days in between all the games, and Game 6 is a day before I get out. Unbelievable.

From the Tribune: "Carlos Zambrano, Derrek Lee and Glendon Rusch of the Cubs had tickets for Thursday night's game. Bears safety Chris Harris also had a seat saved." I think yesterday they said Zambrano is a regular at Bulls games. I don't know why but this made me very happy.

Like a Cubs night game, it was a late arriving crowd, so there were a lot of empty seats at tip. Pretty much full halfway into the second quarter.

What a great game. My voice is a bit hoarse this morning still from all the yelling.

Do you have tickets for everything?

thomas had a handful of games to prove himself, too.

Whatever. Thomas produced a 12.21 per in 71 games last year. He's a sub-par player at this point. You should pick a different champion for your anti-Skiles crusade. I'm not convinced he's the best coach for this team long-term, but getting rid of Thomas didn't hurt the team at all.

and thomas played for the worst-coached team in the NBA last year, a team that breeds underperformance. i'm not saying that thomas would be the answer to our prayers as bulls fans--i'm saying that it would be better for the bulls if their coach could get along with anyone.

skiles was modestly successful in phoenix as well, that didn't stop him from getting run out on a rail.

Didn't Kidd run Byron Scott out of New Jersey, too? You can't just blame it all on Skiles. Kidd, IIRC, has a terrible reputation for dealing with his coaches.

kidd's had trouble with coaches, no doubt, but he's the kind of player that you can't deal with the same as you deal with everyone else. if you want his talent, you bite the bullet. auerbach did it in boston with russell; riley, jackson, and daly all did it during their days. in order to be a successful coach in the pros, and a manager at any level, you have to realize that what motivates one may not motivate another, and some require special treatment. if you value your job, or success in any capacity, you will learn the psychology of coaching. not everything's black and white, not every player is a glutton for punishment.

That wasn't your original point. You were bagging on Skiles because the Bulls got rid of Thomas, and I'm saying the Bulls are a better team without him because they have two significantly better players at the 3.

Do you have tickets for everything?

They weren't very hard to get. Did you try?

Sure did. Didn't feel like standing for 55 dollars though.

Huh, I paid $49 a piece for two tickets in section 302, row 13 (very close to the top). I logged into ticketmaster right at 11am the first Saturday they went on sale. Do you try then or wait until they clinched?

Sure, Thomas doesn't really fit in at the 4, but I'd rather have him there than Malik Allen.

I wouldn't. Their production is almost identical over the past couple of years and Thomas is undersized for the 4. He's also a poor defender in the paint and he prefers to play away from the basket. Just a bad fit all around for the Bulls.

It was late last week. I would have loved to have scored some sweet 12 dollar seats :D

I thought about those but I hate watching basketball from that perspective (end to end).

$20 tickets through my dorm for Sunday but I don't think I can make it. I'm pretty swamped with finalizing my senior thesis, doing a project, and then doing a takehome midterm. Bah.

Well, doesn't even matter. Just got an email they sold out after just getting an email saying they were available.
