FromBill Simmons' most recent rambling, he goes on to talk about the Knicks in the Adam Morrison sweepstakes without mentioning at all about the Bulls getting the Knicks first round pick in 06.

I hate it when a guy is that arrogant in his writing style (where he can write stupid columns about Boston being the greatest thing since, well ever) that he ignores common known fact (for those that followed a pretty major story during the offseason.

To recap: For that one extra win, the Knicks spent four times as much money, killed their cap flexibility through 2009 and gave away any chance of having a top-five pick in the next two years. On the bright side, Eddy Curry has gained enough weight this season that he might start wearing jackets to cover his rear end during games, kinda like how Oprah dresses when she's in the middle of one of her eating binges. So that will be fun.

(God bless the Isiah Era. We'll be talking about this for decades. I really believe that.)

The bolded part seems to make it pretty clear that he does know about the draft pick exchange.

Big win for the Bulls tonight. Now they need to win one more out of these last two, at least.

Drats. That was awful on my part.

Congrats Bulls. You guys needed that one. It looked ugly early in the Cavs game. We were down by 15 in the first quarter but turned it around for the 6-point win.

Also, the sentence right preceding your paragraph:

...while New York gives Chicago its 2006 lottery pick and switches first-rounders with the Bulls in 2007 (with the Knicks getting the lower pick).

Alright, I get it! :D

I must have read very quickly the first time around, because that is just apparent stupidity on my part.

Wow. Can't believe I missed something that obvious.

Not to rub it in or anything, but before that he said the purpose of the list was to rank the team's chances of winning the title, not getting Morrison. He just used that as a category name.

In the meantime, here's another look at the NBA's "Big Picture," where I count down all 30 teams from "worst chance of winning the title" to "best chance of winning the title." I'll even separate them into categories for you. Without further ado...

At first glance I thought the same thing as you. How could the Knicks be in the running for the top pick, but then I read it and realized it was about ranking team's chances at winning the title, and not likely draft picks.

I know the Bulls need a guard like the Cubs need another middle IF, but I'd like Redick on this team. He and Gordon would make a sick, sick shooting backcourt.

I'd trade Duhon, Noc and one of the 1st round picks to Atlanta for Al Harrington, too, so I am pretty stupid, so who knows.

Harrington's a FA after this season, so it would be pretty stupid to make that deal.

and he's said he would love to play here too. I would just wait until Free Agency.

The Bulls just broke a 14-0 Clips run. Ben Gordon did it - naturally. Losing by 7 at this point with 3 points in the 2nd quarter 5 1/2 minutes in.

i absolutely hate the west coast and their stupid time zone, no offense to Raisin  , I just hate staying up until midnight when I have to get up at 6.

Thankfully this is the final west coast game for the Bulls for a while. A win tonight puts us only 2 back of the 8th spot in the East.

He did have a tooth knocked out. Since there wasn't a timeout called, though, he had to hand it to a teammate about to check in, who handed it to Skiles, who handed it to the trainer.

Bulls up 6 with 73 seconds to go.

Heck of a stuff by Nocioni. Too bad Brand put it right back in.

But Hinrich responds with a pair of free throws and the Bulls lead by 4 with :09.4 left.

Nice win. Hinrich made up for a tough night at the end.

Looks like one of Chandler's relatives was decked out in some nice Cubs gear. Might've been his grandfather.

what is up with sweetney's limited minutes?

He's not very good?

This team needs a big man so badly. Songaila is a fine player off the bench. Harrington would be fine off the bench as well. But for the love of god, we need SOMEONE in the middle with Tyson.

Just tank the season. Seriously. See if anyone likes Kirk Hinrich. He's really frustrating.
