And if you think AJ is a cancer, look at your "35 homer guy" Carlos Lee. He has no hustle on the basepaths, in the field, and he walks about as much as Tony Womack.

I'm glad the "rational" sox fan lambasts Carlos Lee for not taking walks (57 in 05), when his boy AJ walked only 23 times.

Carlos is a corner outfielder who has a lead glove therefore his ability is dependant on his home runs. His salary is too much for his minimal production. AJ is a cheap catcher who prior to this year hit for average.

That's ridiculous. So because he doesn't get paid much he doesn't have to take a walk? Come on.

Damn you burnt, there you go, gotta be all rational again.

I guess my other post got deleted anyways... AJP fit in perfectly with the Twins but didnt with the Giants.... and he has fit in perfectly with us... But with his personality it leads me to believe that he is the type of player who is either going to fit in perfectly with your team or like in San Fran be a cancer.

But in the Sox case if they can deal with Everett im guessing Pieryznski is no big deal

No, but Carlos is supposedly the cornerstone of the line up. If AJP is your 6th-7th hitter, it's not as big of a problem. But when a guy like Lee is making 7-8 million his OBP should be well over .335.

I want to point out how hilarious it is that Fred has continually refused to capitalize our southside neighbor's moniker. Well done Fred.

I'm really surprised anybody noticed. Good job !

How do the Sox get away with batting AJ Pierzynski FIFTH? Typical. Knowing the Sox, Pierzynski will get several key hits tonight. Ozzie should just try batting Konerko leadoff, because anything he has done this season, no matter how stupid, has worked in spades.

Hurry up and end it fast so that we can be distracted by the hot stove, and be angry about the Cubs bringing back Burnitz and Perez.

I'm gonna go way out on a limb here and bet you a cyber nickel that neither one of those two will be on our roster in '06.

You're right because they'll be on the roster in '07 too. By the way, I thought you were hiding from Hughes? I hear he uses bloodhounds to find dissenters like yourself.

I have the KTRH radio feed on so I can hear Milo Hamilton suck air when the sox win. I fear that when I am in hell Milo and Hawk Harrelson will do all the games there. I can't imagine I would despise those teams any more than the 2 in this series though :?:

It needs to be said. That Astros lineup is incredibly weak for a World Series team.

How did they get here again?

That's got to be the weakest NL Champs lineup I've seen since the Mets in the all-NY World Series. The Cards must be the world's biggest choke hazard losing to them.

God this game is boring. The White Sox better win tonight. I'm dying for some hot stove.

What do you mean this game is boring? Jermaine Dye is only a triple and a home run away from the cycle!

I'll take that bet, but be careful using the newfangled word "cyber". Gary Hughes will show up at your house with a torch and a mob with pitchforks.
