Didn't Cards fans use to love that site? Because it seems like that's what we're becoming here. I love checking out Cub fans' thoughts, but it seems like more and more Cards fans are invading our territory.

 

Don't get me wrong, you're not like the dumba** at the Pressbox/Cards Talk, but you're Cards fans. I like to read Cub info and see Cub fans talk, but why are there so many of you here?

 

Sorry... hate to get on anyone's bad side, but does anyone else see a pattern here?

I'm not seeing the problem. The Card fans here contribute to the discussion, they aren't here to troll.

I don't have any problems with the people who are fans of other teams here. Most of them are very intelligent and add something different to this board. I also think most of them understand that this is a Cubs' board and that there is going to be a huge bias towards the Cubs. There have been some trolls, but the mods keep them pretty much in check. Can't say I agree with you here.

It seems like most of the Cardinal traffic is at the Post Dispatch board, these days. It's hard for me to stomach much of that, though.

I've said it several times here, I like this board. If I wanted to talk about how great Pujols is all day I can go to cardstalk and have 100 people agree with me. I post here and get good opinions from well educated "baseball" fans 90% of the time. I know this is a Cubs board, but I think of it as a lot more than just that. I live on the North Side, and I'm a huge baseball fan, so I feel very at home here.

I appreciate the perspective from "the dark side". The mods here do a great job of eliminating any trolling, and the Cards, Astros, and Tribe fans here are mostly positive contributors. Not all "other" fans are trolls, and not all Cub fans are all that interesting. Spice of life, ya know?

As a Cub fan, you sure seem to know a whole lot about the Cardinals fans message boards. If you know so much about them, would it be because you visited their boards? If it was acceptable for you to visit their boards, wouldn't it be just as fair for them to visit ours?

 

The Cardinal fans that post here have been nothing but respectful. The ones who don't get a fairly quiet dismissal. The reason this particular forum (Rivalries) is here is for them to lounge and not clutter up the rest of the board with Cardinal discussion.

 

While I enjoy the comraderie of hanging out with other Cub fans here, I also enjoy discussing baseball with fans of other teams. It's nice to get that perspective from the "other side".

 

As long as the discussions stay civil, we can coexist peacefully. We have banned many Cardinal fans for trolling this site, but I'd venture to guess we've banned just as many Cub fans.
