THIS PROVES HE'S UNCLUTCH THOUGH

16/18 in Saves with 19 holds though, he's uber clutch.

I JUST BLEW YOUR MIND

HE'S AN UBERCHOKER

HE ONLY CHOKES IN THE BIGGEST OF SITUATIONS, AND HE RACKS UP GAUDY NUMBERS DURING THE REGULAR SEASON AFTER THE GAMES DONT MATTER

With the Cardinals and Astros as the other possibilities, I had to root for the Braves to win the pennant, but when I found out that what ended up doing them in was just Kyle bein' Kyle, I just had to laugh.

Farns = Mitch Williams

There will be flashes of greatness, but he just doesn't have the head to go w/ the arm.

Atlanta can develop everything except relief pitching.

Here's a fun little exercise. Let's try and find a Cubs reliever better than Farnsworth. To save some time, this is not possible, not even the man we just gave 15 million dollars to be our closer.

So people rippin' apart Farnsy makes you a little annoyed huh?

Some people only see what they want to see. Ignore the great year he had, and point out one bad outing.

A little bit, especially since we have no middle relief and traded him away for nothing.

He did have a helluva year. But that was also a serious collapse. Reminded me of when Mitch Williams gave up a grand slam in '89 at the Astrodome. But yeah, Farnsworth had a great year, and it would have been nice to have a reliever with those numbers in our pen this year.

Dude, Roberto Novoa? :lol: :lol:

Yeah, you should always be able to get something for guys with Farnsworth, even if their greatest talent is potential. Because when/if Kyle is on, he is unhittable. Another sweet desperation move by the Chubbs.

How many saves did Farns have as a Cubs?? How many years was he in Chicago?? Dude would have never got over the hump in Chicago. He wouldn't have came close to doing what Dempster did this year in a Cub uniform.
