Try closing your browser and starting a new session, Rocket.

 

Or maybe clearing out your cookies as well. Sometimes you'd have to clear out your cookies in order for the new settings to take affect.

I got the same message several times while trying to log in. I closed the window and opened a new one, which worked.

That didnt work for me at first. I had to wait a couple of minutes then it came up again.

In my efforts to combat the bots and the denial of service attacks, I've installed a piece of software that limits the number of open sessions per IP address to eight. If you get that error message, please let me know. It's one of the things I'm trying to use to prevent the connection errors from recurring. But if it gets in the way, I'll remove it.

 

(btw - I only installed that safeguard on the regular UI. Logging into premium shouldn't be an issue with that mod)

Yeah the new post thing isn't working for me and it is constantly referring me to that max IP screen...I don't have premium if that makes a difference.

The orange things telling me which posts are new are no longer there. It was like that earlier this afternoon, and it's currently like that as well. Just a heads up.

Hey Tim...count me in on the people who the new post indicators are not working properly. For your information, I am using IE and yes, I did clear out my cookies and restarted my browser.

 

The orange new posts were at the top level of the forums, saying there were new posts in say here - Baseball Discussions, Transactions and Social, but when I enter Baseball Discussions, there was no topics marked with new posts. WHen I left, all the boards were not marked with new posts.

Sorry to wipe out the new post flags. I suddenly realized that I had changed the cookies to read the IP address instead of "northsidebaseball.com". I think that's why people were having problems. When I changed it back to the way it is supposed to be, I think that wiped out everyone's cookies who is currently viewing the forum in the regular UI. It certainly wiped out mine.

 

I hate not being able to sleep, but sometimes it comes in handy for unconsciously solving problems.

Something I'm liking about the post-switch board is that at least on Premium, a thread that was unread will be marked as read if I click on it and then hit the back button. Now if I go into a bunch of threads and hit the back button to go back to the forum, those threads will be marked as read. Beats having to hit the forum link or refresh the page to update the flags.

Some people are still coming to the new server by using the IP address. Please don't as the sessions on the site are set up to work with "northsidebaseball.com" and if you are not using that or "www.northsidebaseball.com" in the address bar the session will end and you'll lose all your new post marks.

Yea, when I come back. After I clear them it is fine, but when I go to another site and come back, they reappear as unread.

I have a question, maybe not the best place to ask it, but I'll give it a try. I have a pic in my signature that was enormous. I reduced the size at photoshop by 50% but it was not showing up in my sig as being reduced. Now it is. Did I do that, or can a mod change it? If it was a mod thanks and if you could tell me how you did that it would be great. If it was not a mod than I am thoroughly confused as too how it shrunk suddenly.
