Unless the Cubs decide to have Murton play RF in Fall League/Winter Ball, I see very little chance of Murton playing RF in 2006. My comment is based on what someone close to the Cubs was telling me recently - Murton does not appear to have the arm to play RF. He seems to think Hendry will be looking to acquire players, who can play RF and CF.

Offensively, I would be ok with it. Defensively, it would be ugly. But that would be 2 guys with career OBPs in the .360s, and Murton has shown every sign that he will be in the neighborhood. So, 3 guys getting on base 36% of the time added to Lee (.390 ish), Ramirez is a solid start to a more consistent offense.

Very interesting. The popular phrase goes, "speed doesn't slump", but OBP doesn't slump. While that lineup is far from juggernaut status, it doesn't have 3 dead spots and it features a group of hitters, who will get you more than 2 runs on a more consistent basis.

Who would the Cubs trade to get both Floyd and Wilkerson?? I'd be really surprised if Washington trades away Wilkerson. Their hitting is pretty poor and they play in a better market now, so can't see them significantly trimming payroll.
