This postseason is starting very badly - 4 games and 5 things have gone badly - I count Boston losing and the White Sox winning as two strikes.

8-3 Astros

Looks like the Cards may have got the right "A".

Based on one playoff start for Hudson (and none for Mulder)? Hudson had a much better regular season.

Marcus Giles double!

Mulder: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6393

Please explain how Hudson is "much better" and remember he spent time on the DL.

Personally I think they both get too much respect.

You're right, it's not "much" better, but Hudson does have the advantage in ERA, WHIP, BAA and BB/K but all are much closer than they were earlier in the season (and I was going off my memory of how they were doing in August).

I agree both are overrated, but I think Mulder is overrated more because of the hand he throws with.

I'm back doing playoff game threads, this time having nothing to do with the Cards (was 4-0 for Cards playoff game threads last year...).

Classic pitching matchup here tonight. Worth tuning in just for that.

Good to see these announcers, good Ole Thom and Psycho sticking for the umps despite the bad call.

One of the best arms I've seen at SS.

Highlight of the game, that young girl with the sign "I love rookies" and I thought of Baker.

Not shocking that LaRoche and McCann driving in all the runs for the Braves.

Just think what would the Dusty line-up be.

Holla in right, Jordan in left, Franco at 1st, Estrada catching, etc.

It just makes me sick to my stomach to be honest with you. You would think with all the hard work Hendry did in the minors that he would like to see some of his kids get a chance.

GO BRAVES!! If the Astros get eliminated, I will be 1/4 happy. I also want the Cardinals, White Sox, and Yankees to get eliminated if you were wondering on the other 3/4.

Wow. Braves/Angels World series. Excuse me while I roll over and fall asleep...

Cards/Sox is going to be awesome!

Seeing the "chop" by the Braves fans, will always remind me of Game 3 in Chicago of 2003' NLDS with Prior against Maddux and how well the Cubs' fans mocked the chop.

I was never so proud of how arrogant we could all be while doing that.

I don't care if the World Series has lousy ratings. If that's what it takes to have those 4 teams not make it, then that's fine with me.

Haven't been paying much attention but just looked up at gameday and saw Lidge was pitching and he's thrown 22 pitches in a 7-1 game???

We were so derisive and it felt really good

I remember that. Of course half the stadium was Cubs fans so someone had to do the Chop. That had to be pretty disheartening for the Braves to come out to see just as many cheers for the Cubs as for them. Since then, Turner is now "Wrigley Field South", joining PNC Park (East), Miller Park (North) and Coors Field (West).

That was just so enjoyable to watch on TV.

That was one of heck of a night for me; I went and saw Common for free right after the game. :D
