Will ESPN spend more time on the White Sox/Angels being in the ALCS or the Red Sox/Yankees not being in the ALCS? :-k

The second one, of course.

It won't be "how the White Sox and Angels won", it will be "How the Red Sox and Yankees lost"

We'll probably get a Top 10 moments from the Yankees/Red Sox series tonight, ha ha

something about an accelerator tearing the fabric of the universe leading to "good, thats the only way the cubs will win a world series."

The sad thing is, it's right.

Is the Cubs winning the World Series one of the signs of the Apocolypse?

Gotta love that St. Jude, though, even though I'm not Catholic. All Catholic Cub fans should know who St. Jude is.

I can feel it now, the Cards are definitely going to win the World Series, and I'm definitely going to pretend that it isn't happening.

I don't know. Facing Clemens, Petitte, and Oswalt for possibly 6 of 7 games wouldn't be easy for anyone.

I have the Astros beating the Angels.

Any guesses on the ridiculous moves that will be made by the Yankees in the offseason? Payroll around $300 million next year?

I read they are going to "reduce" their payroll to 190 million.

I guess they are getting cheap.

They have no choice but to reduce payroll. Brown, Williams, Matsui, Sierra and some overpaid BP guys will all be off the books.

I'm expecting a relatively idle year for the Yanks, considering how many starting pitchers they have on contract. They may add Damon or trade for a CF, but otherwise they won't be in bad shape next year if their pitching can stay healthy.

This is one crazy picture. Look at how high Matsui's leg is....

If Bartolo can't pitch effectively the Angels have no chance.

Against the White Sox? I disagree, he has sucked his last 4 or so starts anyways...

if Colon misses the whole series (which might be possible), the Sox have no excuse to not winning the ALCS.

And yet watch them lose anyway. They probably wouldn't even be there if the BoSox didn't insist on pulling a Cubs with RISP or if Graffanino knew how to field a friggin groundball.

Anyone notice former Chicago players did a lot for the Sox so far in the playoffs? First Clement, then Graffanino. I expect Colon to come back and give up a game winning homer somewhere to keep up the tradition.
