sportsline says he was ejected for hitting luna in today's game, but there weren't any hit batters earlier in the game...what happened?

A league of babies... This is a great example of it.

I guess the league had warned the umpires to watch for something that might happen with Luna. I was there and the whole thing seemed odd. Perez was looking pretty good, although it was really earlyin the game.

I guess the new manager of Bucs said he could understand what the ump was saying, but he also noted that they had played 2 clean games with problems.

I agree UK this is another example of the league acting like this, there was no reason for him being thrown out of this game. They are now to overprotective if this happening. But it has happened in all pro sports, you cant even hit the QB anymore without getting a penalty. Sports have become to overprotective for its own good.

I haven't seen a replay, so I will wait until I see the play before I make a judgement. Luna had been hit once in the series already and was the at the center of what lead to the altercation in Pittsburgh. If the pitch clearly looked intentional (and I am not saying it did, as I haven't seen a replay yet) then I do not have a problem with the umpire ejecting the pitcher.
