oh boy we swept the only team in the division clearly worse than us HELLO PLAYOFFS

watch out now!

fred, i don't want to get my hopes up.

Baseball teams gotta play 'em one at a time. Fans can cheer for 'em the same way. I got my hopes up for tomorrow !!

Isn't tomorrow Matty Mo's turn in the rotation ? Or, is LaRussa skipping him for this critical pennant drive series because he'll give up 5 runs against the Cubs ?

Matty Mo got pushed back to Tuesday.

sweep the Cards and San Francisco...i just want to get this thing over .500 really. I really want to sweep the Cards though, badly..

Were really close to sweeping them last time out.. and we own the Cards this season.

I might watch this game...or I may take my wife to the movies.

If you go, let us know what movie. But I think you can wait until next week when the sappy romance movie of the year comes out. Reece Witherspoon in "Just like Heaven".

We're only 6.5 games out in the Wild Card. We've got ourselves positioned perfectly for one of Dusty's big September runs!!!!

I know its probably asking for a bit much but, I'd sure like to see a dominant Prior outing. It would be a refreshing change from his most recent starts.

Agreed. I'm not sure I like this "effective" Prior. I want the Prior from '03 back.

When is the last time Prior's appeared to have all his pitches working? It seems like every post game recently is "I did what I could because I didn't have my ______-ball today."

That's a decent lineup, with the exception of the fact that Prior should hit 8th. Also, it appears Murton is still not ready to face those RH pitchers.

It's never a good line-up when Patterson is in it! Hairston to CF & Murton to LF, please!
