i was talking about the curtain call for Edmonds, who K'ed 3 times vs. Prior and then hit a solo shot (with the game all but decided) off a reliever. Pujols deserved a curtain call. That was clutch.

Cubs fans are like that as well. But, the times I have been to Busch, they have been less than cordial. I think the Cards is the city's most pronounced feature, so they'll be as pompous as possible, I'm like that w/UK basketball.

 

I've always said Boston fans know the most about their team, but the way to tell if a region knows about baseball is by looking at the amatuer levels. You're not going to learn the game by watching every game on the TV or listen to it on the radio. You can read a boatload of books as well, but not many people read these days.
