speaking of Rusch, why, oh why aren't they skipping his start with the off day tomorrow? Why don't the Cubs EVER skip bad pitchers with days off?

Because Dusty doesn't think Glendon is pitching bad?

Dusty did skip a Jerome Williams start earlier this year.

Because they're the Cubs.

There is a reason that this team hasn't even lucked into 1 World Series win in the last 97 years. It's because when there is a common sense decision to be made, the Cubs do just the opposite.

It worked for Costanza though.

Baker should pull Lee for Hollandsworth here.

Game and season are over... no sense running him into the ground any further than he already is and will be.

Time to cut our losses with Corey. He needs to go as well. I'm actually sick and tired of having worthless players on our roster. Of course we can thank Hendry for that as well. It will be interesting to see what the Cubs do this offseason.

Worthless managers as well.

No doubt. This organization was so close to being a WS contender, what the heck happened? How did things go so wrong so fast? I'll tell you one reason is because Dusty couldn't control the clubhouse last year. 2004 was a circus act. Who knows maybe 2003 was an anomaly but if we are serious about getting to the World Series a lot of changes and acquisitions need to be made. Baker def has to go, and so does Corey among others. Hendry is at fault too.

"Dude. Chip and Steve screwed that season over for us last year, not me or the players. They made us make baserunning blunders, fielding errors, and pay more attention to broadcasts than actual games."

With the patheticness of the cubs bullpen this year. It's surprising Hendry hasn't caught more flack for his trading away Farnsworth for .50 cents on the dollar. He would have been a huge asset this year.

"If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right." I wonder what a game managed by Dusty would look like if he "did the opposite."

I'm telling you guys you better watch your mouths about Corey or the fan club will call you names and tell you how it's all Macias' fault (the utility man) and not the five tool starting center fielder.

Another lolly-gagged botched catch by AJones.

What a sucky-suck guy.

Seriously lolly-gagged?

Ok, maybe not lolly-gagged if attempted by you and me, but to me... if he is SOOOO GOOD... AJones should have made that catch. Corey would have.

i'm very upset that farns was traded. i think a lot of fans buy into the 'he was bad for team chemistry' line and are glad that he's gone....as evidenced by the boos he got when he came in.

oh good, the continuing effort to have wood's arm fall off will continue.

Interestingly enough we had a high turnover on our roster from 2004 to 2005 yet we somehow have the same errors and fielding blunders like last year. Hmm, could it possibly be the responsibility of the manager? I know for a fact that Cox holds his players accountable. he actually benched a couple of his guys who missed plays or didn't run out a grounder. Does Dusty do that? Heck no, he is a supposed player's manager who in my opinion has lost all credibility. He is a fool, and haven't liked him since he made those racial remarks.
