Like I said before, I'm not watching the game so it's hard to rebut the accusations of Andruw's lack of hustle, but I find it shocking that he misplayed several balls in this one game. You're right, he didn't say that he'd rather have Corey than Andruw, but he insinuated that Corey is a better defensive CF (his opinion, I respect that), AND that Andruw is lazy and not a good CF and stated that he's a jerk. My whole point is that just because he makes it look smooth and easy doesn't mean that he's not trying or doesn't respect the game. I don't see a legitimate reason to dislike him but everyone sees things differently. I'm just giving my opinion.

Alright, now that the game is over, I can explain myself.

 

I have no problem with AJone's defensive prowess, he is good. But just because he is good, he thinks he can nonchalant every fly ball and it cost him twice in this game.

 

Greatness isn't taking plays off. Greatness is making the routine plays without giving it a chance to be screwed up.

 

I do NOT think Corey is better than AJones defensively, but at least I feel more sure about his catching routine fly balls instead of just holding his glove out there like its a terrible use of his time or energy to be fielding "can of corn" outs.
