Here's an article about sports internet message boards and fan-based sites dedicated to teams in the Northwest Herald based in McHenry County. Its not exactly the Trib or Sun-Times but it'll do.

At the same time, NorthSideBaseball.com, a Cubs fan site, had 2,854 registered users – 10 members have posted at least 10,000 messages apiece. The baseball discussion forum, one of 16 forums available for discussion, had 8,644 topics and 168,313 messages posted.

The one bad thing about all of this is the the link included on the Northwest Herald site. It doesn't work it. Hopefully people who read the paper can figure it out for themselves besides just clicking the link they give you.

I doubt it, I think I saw a thread at WSI about the site, and many Sox fans were less than pleased with it.

He actually made a request, but I never was able to synch up with him before the article came out.

Aw...that sucks. That would have been pretty cool for you to have promoted your site like that. Oh well...maybe he'll do another article sometime.
