Clemens did stop himself the other day in mid sentence about not being able to take some kind of medicine for his back in an ESPN article. I thought that was kind of strange.

Maybe's he's worried about he backlasn becaus he gave up 5 runs in 6.1 to the Brewers tonight, very un-Clemens like.

So he has to sit out for 2 games. Big whoop. The steroid policy is a joke.

It would hurt his Cy Young chances though. I'm sure he'd still be voted into the Hall of Fame no problem though.

How reliable is that website?

I don't know -- it's a Reds blog site so I thought I would throw it out there.

Never know anymore.

He won't be winning the CY if he tests positive.

This is what I was referencing:

"I'm getting by," he said. "I know the results are looking good, but I want to get to a point where my body feels good without hurting something and then have to miss a start. I don't want that to happen."

Clemens said he needed "to get off this medicine that's tearing my ..." before stopping himself. He would not say what medication he was taking, and then quickly said the medicine was not causing the problem.

Just seemed a little weird.

It can't be proven (since MLB doesn't test for it), and I bet a lot of other players are on it, but I'm sure Clemens is on HGH.

It's not natural for someone to pitch this well at Clemens' age.

I don't blame him since they don't test for it.

well then all of us will feel like the 3 day fight with K-whatever over in rivalries was for naught.

The guys over at SOSH (Palmeiro busted Thread) are talking about 2 big names being busted. One being Johnny Damon and the other being Clemens.

With the rumor last week arising out of Boston that 50 players or whatever were positive, I wouldn't be surprised if a Red Sox player was in jeopardy. Where there is smoke, after all, there is fire...

My dad says he heard this on his political blogs. Although it could be referencing the same article.

I remain skeptical, but if it's true it would much, much bigger than Palmiero.

When I read that for the first time I thought he was going to reference to ummm "gastrointestinal issues". I dont know how medicing tearing his blank would have to do with steroids.

The drug Clemens was probably talking about is Vioxx. He admitted to using it and when they pulled it off the market he thought he would have to retire. He probably got a hold of a big stash of it, which has allowed him to continue to play through the pain, and almost let it out that he was stilling using it.

When does Dunn's plane land in Chicago?

I don't know. Someone mentioned a while ago that they saw Danny Graves and Adam Dunn getting on a plane to Chicago. I don't know what happened with that.

well, if this turns out to be true, i'm guessing that'll end the damon-to-the-cubs talk. too bad he can't take something to make him stop throwing like ... "that".
