i dont get it. i see Woods slider come out of his had, it starts to drop, and nest thing you know, the batters ar just FLAILING their bats at it likes its a giant T-bone

Lawton needs to figure out a way to get on base a little more regularly imho. wonder what his OBP has been since becoming a Cub?...

Wood better come back out to start the 9th... we NEED!!!!! to win this game and he's his usual nast-filthy self (since coming back and in the pen).

 

Not saying Dempster can't close it out... but since he's on and threw a quite minimal amount of pitches, let Woody try and close it out!!!

 

Since he threw only 9 pitches, sounds like he can come back tomorrow night for an inning. I'd rather save him and use him for Biggio, Berkman and Ensberg tomorrow night. Dempster should be able to nail this down.

alright lets get an easy 1-2-3 9th.

 

Nope. He's going to get 3 men on.. Then strike out the first. Then get a double play.
