He was scheduled to start tonight for Iowa, but was sent to Chicago instead. This according to IowaCubs.com.

Didn't see that coming.

Their chief weapon is surprise. Surprise and fear. Fear and surprise. Their two weapons are surprise and fear.

Don't know about the ruthless efficiency part.

I'd imagine Hill is getting the demotion.

Wow...I thought I'd seen the last of the suckage that is Jon Koronka. Couldn't Welly have been called up instead?

Todd just pitched last night. We'll see if Koronka will work out of the 'pen or not, but I'm guessing that Hendry is just looking for a fresh arm.

If Hill is sent out, I would rather Bartosh was returned to the pen and Rusch inserted into the rotation.

Better yet, have Koronka take Wood's place because he is getting prepped for surgery.

Too bad he's not looking for a fresh manager. :x

I'm going with Tree on this one.

That goes without saying. My suggestions make sense, which is contrary to the end sought by management these days.

*Looks to make sure there isn't a Koronka Q & A on NSBB*

Seriously, this is the best the Cubs could come up with? Calling up Koronka?

Yes, I'll always remember where I was when John Koronka, savior of the 2005 season, was recalled from AAA Iowa and led the Cubs to a World Series Championship.

Oh, wait, that won't happen. I really need to stop drinking.

I'm sure glad I'll miss most of the rest of this train wreck of a season, engineered by none other than one, Dusty Baker.

It's become hysterical at this point.

i think it's pretty clear that the cubs are just making stuff up as they go along at this point.

I don't know whether to laugh because Tree's funny or cry because it's probably true.

After what happened to Hill, think it's in the best interest for any player to complete their Q & A before moving on to the show.

It has. I'm slowly easing into the "funny" part.

Teams really ought to be fined by the GM's if they would lose a series to the Cubs at this point. I'm honestly thinking a good college team could beat the Cubs 2 of 3 at this point.

Does anyone else think Hendry has gotten ahold of his own "Dusty Dice" that he uses to make his decisions?

If not that, then some very powerful illegal narcotics.

haha, Koronka? what's the point? even if it's a fresh arm, it's also a terrible arm that doesn't belong in the major leagues.

But, I guess it really doesn't matter any more anyways.

Well, if you're gonna suck, you might as well go all-out.
