Doesn't it seem like just when you start to feel comfortable about a reliever in the 8th inning role, he flops on his face and we start over again?

Is novoa really better than Welly?

I remember when ESPN was drooling all over Welly...sad, it hasnt, to this point, turned out so well.

Yes, Welly is better than Novoa.

Just because he haven't seen him in a while.

Sometimes I wish we still had Miller at C for his game-calling and fielding...but, I just really didnt like having two automatic outs in one lineup.

Tough night for Barrett all around--good thing he will get a day off tomorrow

Also, IMHO Novoa is far better than Welley if for no other reason--he throws strikes.....Even down here at Iowa, Welley has no idea where any of his pitches are going

Are we going to see wagner here??

well at least he got out of it.

Late inning relief pitching is like the NCAA tournament. Just survive and advance. Doesn't matter how pretty it is, just get three outs before they score a run.

YAYAY! Good job!

Walker, Perez, Barrett in the 9th. Please scratch across a run. Actually, more than one. I can't take a repeat of last night. :?

Anyone know how Nomar looked down at AA today? Ready to kick Neifi to the bench?

I think he was 1-4 with a bunch of hard hit balls.

I believe he hit the ball hard in all of his at bats. A nice catch or two by the opposing side, but, he apparently looked good and ready.
