Chances are that Boise or West Tenn might be wrong. I would like to pass the blame on to their sites for either not working or not reporting the starters. :D

Gallagher needs to have a good outing again.

Indeed. He must win the ERA title.

Gallagher's most recent outing was the disaster in Lansing; the outing before that, he K'd 10 in 6 innings.

He hasn't missed a start thus far this season.

July starts:

July 2: 5IPs, 3H, 2R, 2ER, 1K/2BB

July 7: 7IPs, 6H, 3R, 3ER, 3K/1BB

July 13: 5 IPs, 2H, 2R, 2ER 4K/3BB

For those of you wondering, I was able to interview Nomar before batting practice! I asked him a few questions and will have them posted ASAP!

Nomar's 1st AB w/ 1 out (DJaxx down 3-0)

Pitch 1 - strike called

Pitch 2 - ball outside

Pitch 3 - routine fly out to medium center field

So far so good for Gallagher, 4 scoreless thus far.

Mr. Bo Flowers has two hits, two RBI, a run scored a triple as Peoria leads 6-nil.

Nomar leads off the 5th(?) inning (6-0 DJaxx trail)

Pitch 1 - inside ball

Pitch 2 - line drive base hit to right field

He's made a couple routine plays in the field. Also, let a bad hop sinking line drive past him for a single.

That's it for my Nomar watch - heading to the Iowa Cubs game...

I finally figured out how you can listen to minor league baseball games on the computer. My life has new meaning now. :D

Dopirak having himself a nice night tonight. 2-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Also nice to see a Dope Slap...those have been few and far between this year. O'Toole is 2-3 and JJJ is 3-3 with 3 RBI as well. Also, Walker has gone 0-4 with 2k's but somehow managed to steal his 42nd base of the year.

Gallagher needs to have a good outing again.

Or what happens?

It would seem that tragedy is averted as Gallagher so far has 5 shutout innings (3 hits, 4Ks/0BBs :) ). 9-0 Chiefs.

I'm off to a birthday lunch (not mine) and a Muscle Musical involving weightlifters who dance while working out.

Nomar 1-3 but the 2 outs were hammered to center

BTW, DJAXX when do you think you'll have the Q&A sessions from Jeff Parker and Ribbee posted?

I had planned on giving Jeff and Ribbee their questions Friday night. However, it is understandable that with Nomar around things are a bit busy for them. I'll deliver their questions once everything calms down with Nomar being in Jackson.

good comeback by iowa in the 9th.

frese got called out on a borderline strike three, and then murray, corey and mcclain followed w/ singles. patterson had some good/daring baserunning to get himself to third on mcclain's single. but then he got thrown out at home on a grounder by lewis. then fontenot hit a two strike pitch up the middle for a clutch, game-tying single.

corey went 2-5 with a double, single and no k's. another good outing out of the pen by brownlie. if the cubs somehow traded jvb, i wonder if brownlie would get a shot to close....

All boxes posted.

Good game for Corey. Surprised to see him lay down a sac bunt, but he got the second hit in the 9th inning comeback (single and went to 2nd on the throw). The fact that the opposing relief pitcher's name was Baker is a coincidence.

And quite the performances from Gallagher and Searles.

....all continuing to make cases for future bullpen slots with the Cubbies!

Nice job once again by all three.

Also, Fontenot just keeps on hitting and getting on base. He should absolutetely be on the Cubbies next year (barring a trade). He would be a great super infield sub. Certainly better than Macias.

With that walk, Harvey has now matched last season's BB total with 20 walks in a season. Only problem is, last season he got those 20 BBs in 231 ABs in Boise (241 if you count the 10 he had in Mesa)...this season Harvey has had 353 ABs.

The good news is that his K numbers are much better, comparatively speaking. In those 353 ABs this season, he has 92 Ks. Last season, he had 81 in the 241 ABs he had between Boise and Mesa. I grant you, they could be better numbers, but improvement in a top prospect is always a welcome sign. :D

Or I'll punch him in the face. What was the point of this question again?
