All I gotta say is that if Gerut is our sole aquisition this year. I'm gonna throw something.

 

Meh... While I'd like to see an upgrade in LF and in the bullpen, I could live with our current team +Nomar and Williamson, assuming Murton continues to get a good portion of the starts in LF.

 

Still, I'm holding out hope that we'll get a new LF in the next 16.5 hours or so...

Same here. I would LOVE to get Manny in LF especially.

 

Roast - like you I'll be at work most of the day (from 1-8). I'm such a trade deadline geek that I've set my TiVo to record both of the BBTNs while I'm gone. When I get home around 8:30 at night, I'll pretending it's around noon, and have a seat. :lol: I really will, that may be the saddest part.

For some unknown reason my boss scheduled me for a four hour shift (12:30 - 4:30) That means my break should come sometime around 2:30. It'll only be fifteen minutes long. But do you think I'm gonna rush home and check NSBB? You betcha.

Damn... I'm not a very smart guy, so I'd do that deal without much thought to future consequences. Would it make sense for us, this year and near future, to do that deal if it would be possible to get Manny over the Mets doing so??

Hairston, Nomar, Lee, Manny, ARam, Murton, Patterson, and Barrett. Sure that's predominately right handed, but that lineup would score lots of runs.

Wow, didn't realize how mediocre Milledge has been this year. My description of Gerut/Cameron was made with little research, so my adjective describing their disparity may be off.

Is Milledge really better than Pie? He just reached AA, he has a marginally better walk rate, but far less power. I dont know about his defense, and im not sure about their exact ages.

 

Milledge also gets caught stealing as much as Pie does.

 

Milledge is probably my favorite non-Cubs prospect, btw.

 

EDIT:Milledge is 2 months younger than Pie.
