pbp request for the workers on the game-ender please.

Burnitz riffled a shot down the RF line that hit the wall. Gerut came into score and the guys went wild.

Man, I thought Santo was going to stroke out right there in the booth.

On the game winning hit, or when Burny got hit in the face with the shaving cream pie?

I thought both

It wasn't pretty, but I'll take it!

Audio highlights on your page pls... also do you have any audio from the game that Hill started and the Cubs won on the close play with Cedeno at home?

Sorry, my power was out that night.

But I'll have this one up.

Jeromy Burnitz lines a single to right field, Jody Gerut scores.

Cubs 4, Giants 3. Final.

Thanks bukie and BlueHeart05.

With a lefty going tommorow Murton is sure to get the start. Hopefully he gets it from here on out.

Rats... I would've loved to have heard Ronnie, he loses his mind on close plays at the end of a game. I'll look forward to hearing this one though!

Now that we won that game, this is kind of difficult to say, but GO BRAVES!!

Don't forget, Go Phillies, Go Rockies, and Go Pirates. :D

And Go Padres!

For the heck of it, Go Royals!

Great win today. I watched the whole game but couldn't be on the board as I'm packing for my trip to Cooperstown!!!!

Have a good trip. Hopefully we'll have Dunn by the time you get back.

Gotta love Dempster.

"I've said if you're pie-ing me every day, something good is happening," Dempster said. "That was a huge hit by him and helped us come through with a big win."

Dempster may be a recipient soon. Now 5-3, he has three wins in relief in the last four games.

"I'm going to try to get to 20 [wins] by the end of the year," Dempster quipped.

Beginner pie-tossers listen up. Dempster has some tips: Use two plates, be careful with the shaving cream because it stings the eyes, and get an assistant to hide the ingredients.

"Sometimes I get in front of a mirror and practice," Dempster said.
