Prior vs. Hudson earns Buster Olney's Reverse Lock of the day...

"Cubs starter Mark Prior is coming off a game in which he allowed only two hits and struck out 10, and he faces Cincinnati's Luke Hudson, who has accumulated more earned runs allowed than innings pitched for a 9.85 ERA. A classic Reverse Lock, with all logic pointing to a Chicago victory."

Here's hoping the Cubs can take a few pitches and add to Hudson's 18 BB in 24 innings... while cautiously adding to his 7HR's (I'm not a pitching coach, but I'm guessing waiting for the fat pitch on the 3-1 count, and laying off if it's a ball?)

and that has made all the difference. . .

Wohoo, an obscure reference that I picked up on!

Unless it wasnt, and it was just a coincidental choice of words. Gah, its too early to think this much.

He must be. I don't even know what team he plays on.

Aargh! My hotel in Midland, MI doesn't seem to get WGN! That sucks - probably won't see or hear the game tonight.

Gotta get this one too...keep the momentum going!

Go Cubs!

Before the game thread gets going, I'd like to remind everyone about Game Thread etiquette. Last night's thread got out of control more than once, and that kind of behavior is not acceptible. Consider this a pre-game warning. Violators will be ejected. Keep it clean, keep it civil, and have fun -- and hopefully we'll have another Cubs win.

I thought about it - that's pretty much my only chance. I've done it before, and I've never had a bar/restaurant turn me down. In the past couple years I had to do that for Bears games when I was on the road. Gotta get your spot early for football....

Sauce I do have xm radio, but that's in my car. I love the Cubs, but I'm not sitting in a parked car for 2.5 hours tonight just to hear the game. I'm already at my hotel, with another 2 hour work day planned for tomorrow, and Thursday too. I plan on playing golf for the first time this year tomorrow. So if I miss a game, with this awesomely easy week I set up it's worth it.

Figured this place would have it.... no high speed land line and no WGN! Honestly, I will ask a hotel when making the reservation to check if they have WGN, but I'm like 4 hours from the Chi, I thought for sure they'd get WGN.

You should be able to get WGN's terrestrial signal within that range. In addition, if memory serves, there are a couple of Cub affiliates in Michigan ... might be worth spinning the clock radio dial.

I can get WGN in Ann Arbor, but only in my car. I'm about 3 and a half hours pretty much due east of Chicago. Might just be best to go to a sports bar to watch.

God, I can't wait til Nomar's back, and I don't have to see Perez in the lineup.

Can we PLEASE send Cedeno back to AAA, so he can get AB's? Christ.

Neifi, PICK A FIGHT. PREFERRABLY WITH AN UMP. BUT A PLAYER WILL DO AS WELL.

That's an order.
