Anyone wonder if the Cardinals are starting to regret trading for Mulder?

You know Harden has been with Oakland all along, they got Haren from STL, right?

Oops...my bad.

One letter does make a whole lot of difference.

Thanks. And I vote that the Cardinals still gave up too much in that deal.

It was like 2 pitches into the AB that Soriano got the hit, and then they went to the Palmerio AB and he grounded out. ESPN was 0-2 in the span of about 2 minutes.

I agree that the Cards probably gave up to much for Mulder, especially when you look at what the braves gave for Hudson. But the Cardinals got Mulder for one reason and that is to help them win in the playoffs. If he goes out and has a great playoffs and wins a world series, I dont think any cardinals fan will think they overpaid for him then.

That would be great if he was a proven post season pitcher. 4 starts with none past the divisonal series doesn't do much for me. I'll eat two crows when he dominates the postseason.

I vote no on signing a pitcher on the premise that he will win in the playoffs.

Actually, in that AB Palmeiro walked. It was earlier they showed his prior AB where he grounded out.

Did anyone else think it was just a little too convenient that the first Rangers batter they cut to, Soriano, got a hit? And at the very next moment, Palmeiro happened to be up? It was almost like ESPN knew in advance, as if, even though they called it "Live Bonus Coverage" there may have been a tape delay of a up to a minute or two for one of those segments?

It's possible that they may had used a tape delay.

When it was brought up on NSBB last night, I'm pretty sure some were watching the A's on Extra Innings. I was watching BBTN, and seemingly found out about the hit at least at the same time as the others. However, I have no idea if there was a delay on Palmeiro's AB.
